Trading Up...The COMC Experiment Part 1

Had my COMC account go live back in mid October and decided I would try a little experiment. Rather than cashing out decided I would see just what was available to pick up for traders/collections/sets etc.

Stats so far...

Total Sales $866.12
Items Sold 154

Average sale around $5.50-6.00 with almost nothing sold over the $10 mark.

Here's what the first batch of stuff (approximately half of my total sales funds so far) I would have never bothered to list via ebay turned into (around 70 other set filler shinies not scanned):

Another shipment of goodies coming my way after Xmas . As of now really impressed with the site, sales, and ability to negotiate back and forth on items.

I think Hockey on the site has picked up a lot in the past year. I think due to COMC having a canada office now.

I know what you mean. I am getting a kick out of COMC selling my medium and lower end cards and then using the money to BGS grade the better Beehive spares I have listed. If they come back 9.5 or 10 then I ship it home and swap out my PC card and send the ungraded one to COMC for sale. As the money is coming from cards I'd never have bothered to list myself, it's like free. I agree also that I don't see much action on the bigger cards there. I might need to pull them down and try fee-bay again.

can't go wrong when your upgrading cards that you would never do anything with
