Well, not as exciting as in past years, but still fun nonetheless.

Lots of neat things to see this time around but one of the coolest things I've ever seen was the 1966 Topps Test UNCUT SHEET.

The show was all about Auston Matthews. His cards were everywhere and they were moving! Some pretty high sales were noted and the dealers I spoke to said that it was a good thing that they loaded up.

Leafs Centennial was EVERYWHERE and will be for the next little while. Seemed like a lot of autos and base/SP/die-cuts were moving as well but a lot of dealers seemed to think that "regional premiums" are still a thing.

Got to hang out with Dr. Price and my good man Dan at folks at the President's Choice booth.

A giant shout out to Frank Staine and to Wayne from the GTA show for the hookups :)

Anyway, on to my pickups and such...

First, made a stop at the BGS booth to submit one card. I pulled an Orange Rainbow Auston Matthews Retro RC from ePacks and it looked great in my eyes. Gonna be sending this one in through my LCS...

This was a mailday that came in just before the Expo. One of the most underrated signatures in our hobby. Not bad for $6.

I've been a big fan of this guy for years. Glad he's in the WWE now. Hopefully they don't ruin him. I'd love to see a giant heel turn and have him steal the WWE title from AJ Styles.

I didn't get the guy's name, but there was one dealer there from BC (no, not Dale) who had a cluttered spot near the washrooms but MAN did he have some nice cards. He wound up submitting a bunch to an auction house but I managed to grab this before he added it to the pile:

I'm moving away from having a "diverse" collection and starting to concentrate on Bill Barilko. Scoured the floor for a nice 1951 Parkhurst "The Winning Goal", but instead of settling for a beater copy, I decided to hold off and grabbed this one instead (which will be removed from that holder ASAP)...I showed a few vintage dealers and they say they haven't seen one in person in some time and NEVER seen one in this good condition. True or not, it made me feel pretty good about this purchase:

Hope everyone had a great time and we'll see you all in the spring!

Can't wait!!!

Cool pick ups, nice variety there. Who had the Topps uncut Test Sheet and did it have the Orr on it? That would be cool to see.

It had the Orr on it. I wish I had the mind to have taken a pic. It was quite the thing to see!
