Today's mail has a dual purpose. First, I have been trying for the past several weeks to pick up as many double and triple memorabilia cards from the 3 Franchises releases as possible. Not having much success with the 'trips (only 2), but have been able to pick up over a dozen of the doubles. Here are two of the latest:
The Dionne (is there a less respected HOF'er in this hobby than him?? What a crime, as he was an amazing talent.) is a duplicate, as I recently won another on Ebay (nice job of keeping track of this stuff, Sal
). So, long story short, if you have any of the double or triple (non-gold version) let me know. I will be making a separate post with the ones I am looking for later one, so keep your eyes open.
As for the Lindros, besides it being from one of my favorite releases of all time (02-03 ITGU), it's actually a card I needed for the set. When I flipped the card over, I noticed that the stick and jersey is from a Rangers game, while the glove is from the 1991 Canada Cup - probably THE event that announced him as a power to the world (3 goals, 2 assists). If only the big E knew that it would not get much better for him than that point in time... None the less, kudos to ITG for putting this piece on the card. I always liked the Pacific brands that stated which team and season the GU jsy swatch was from, but this bumped it up a notch in the world of my hobby enjoyment. Thanks for the read...
