Verified Trader,
Decided to start showing off my complete Turco collection a few weeks back, started with part 1 which was lockout and earlier. This one will be from 2005-06 until his most recent cards. Chances are there will be two more parts, maybe one… We will see. I will be doing a small part three showing off the hoards, oddball cards, team issues, vault and show stamped cards… Lastly I will probably do a part four showing off my favorite stuff, the game used memorabilia. I do have my first new Turco jersey incoming in several years, although it is an alumni jersey.. It’s a beauty. For those keeping track at home… Tomorrowland tickets go on sale in 31 days… Just kidding no one knows what that is haha… On with the show, enjoy!

2005-06- Three Cards Missing
Start off with the yearly additons from UD1 and UD2. All the cards he had in the set are accounted for here.
The usual low end Victory cards. The first year Victory introduced the ultra rare black parallel. I am missing the silver parallel here. I haven’t seen a copy since 2005-06 sadly.
Another low end set brings the second of three cards missing for the complete run of Turco’s non 1/1 cards from 2005-06. Here I am missing the Platinum parallel /25
The beginning of the yearly nightmare that was Artifacts. I am only missing 1/1’s here. All of those are in a Turco collection overseas… Artifacts was always a pain to put together but once you put the rainbow together, they were sharp.
BAP Set, only missing the 1/1 base parallel. There were a couple multi player autographs that were not made that featured Turco on them.
SPA, Priority Signings and Rookie Update. Would love to get the plate cards from the dual with Cam Ward, but the ones I have seen were all still priced like it was 2007 and Cam Ward was pegged as the next superstar…. Oh well…
Parkhurst set, not a fan here at all.
Beehive set not a fan of this set either.
Fleer Ultra set
Trilogy set, I was a big fan of the plexi glass cards. There were big back in the day, the blue parallels fetched quite a premium as I believe someone was hoarding those.
Hot Prospects mini set, very plain.
Powerplay… Anyone who had a player in this set knows how hard the parallels and patch cards were to trackdown.
SPx set. Really liked this years base cards and SPxcitement autographs
Black Diamond, here’s the final missing non 1/1… Missing the gold parallel here
UD Ultimate set… The Marquee Attractions autograph is actually one of my most recent additions.
UD Ice… This had to be one of the nicest sets on the year. Between the acetate cards and the beautiful base parallels.
SPGU… This set was a huge nightmare. Thankfully it is complete. Also the first run of the by the letter cards, and the endorsed equipment.
One lone Mcdonalds card but it’s a doozy. This was not a cheap pickup back in the day!
Everyones favorite set year and year out, where it all started… 2005-06 The Cup.
2006-07- 5 Cards Missing
BTP… This set is a nightmare… The Dual jersey with Belfour and Glove were released in Vault… Have yet to see a gold copy of the double jersey…

Mcdonalds, Mini Jersey and Ovation Set… Those Mcdonalds inserts used to fetch a pretty penny… I now have multiples on the autograph. I believe the second and third copies of the autograph I own cost less than a quarter of what my first copy ran me.

BAP Portraits and OPC… That BAP Portraits multi goalie “card” was a tough find. Still the only copy I have ever seen and got it for a great price considering. Although that great price was not cheap!

UD Powerplay… What will seem to be a running trend with my wantlist… Cards from a very low end set. I am missing two cards, the patch parallel and the Impact Parallel to the base card… Patch card is /5 and Impact parallel is /25… I don’t suspect I will ever land either of those.

Trilogy… Really like that triple auto plexi glass card. I am missing the dual patch autograph /5 similar to the jersey pictured of Morrow and Turco.

Superlative… Personally not a fan of this set at all
At least the dufex cards are really sharp. I also don’t mind the triple patch
BTP… Again, very nice dufex mask cards here
UD1 and UD2 set… In case you haven’t noticed, I am severely lacking on UD1 and UD2 printing plates. No idea where they all are as I saw next to none of them from any year…
SPGU set… First missing card for this season… Missing the fives goalie patch here…

OPC Set… Really liked the micromotion parallels here

Sweet Shot.. as stated the previous season, one of my favorite sets and a few cards I am happy to hoard.
Year in and year out the nicest set, the Cup. I am missing two cards here, the two quad patches to go with the quad jerseys pictured. I missed out on both a couple years back as I don’t spend anywhere near what I used to spend and they sold for combined prices of what would have paid for three game worn Turco jerseys for my collection.
2008-09- Three Cards Missing

Fleer Ultra… Really liked this set, and glad I was able to get the Total D autograph relatively easily. Those are a tough find

Champs set… Apparently these minis are a tough find.
Black Diamond with the impressive 1/1 and one of my favorite inserts, Run for the Cup
Mcdonalds… Really liked the parallels they did /100 this season. The autograph was a costly one at one time… I believe I have 3 or 4 of them now
SPx set… Really liked this base set
UD Powerplay and BAP sets
Collectors Choice near set… I have never seen a single copy of the Three Star Selection Prime Choice Reserve gold card. Ever. I am starting to doubt I will ever find this card 10 years later
Trilogy set… That triple autograph is a beauty!

UD Ice set… Love the Frozen Foursomes, some of the nicest cards to date
Arguably my favorite set of all time, UD Black… These were amazing cards back in the day, and still are.
OPC Premier… Missing the quad patch of the four goalies /5 here… Sadly I believe one collector has 4/5 and the other one is locked down in a PC

Another year, another incredible batch of Cup cards. I have some nice hoards going of several of these cards. May share these in my last card show and tell for the Turco collection.
2009-10- No cards missing
Superlative… Man are cards without pictures ugly… Who would have thought that would become such a big thing in the hobby… Too bad.. Cool swatches at least, though the Turco Monogram is not from a Turco game used glove sadly…..
ITG Ultimate… Though I do think I have these in the wrong year’s folder… Oh well

BTP Cards… Man in hindsight am I ever a sucker trying to go for a quincy of ITG cards….. Once again, those jumbo cards come from the same non game used Turco glove.

Black Set, sharp as always! Everytime I see that goalie booklet it reminds me of a hilarious story of acquiring it from Jim and Aaron Ramsay, also of Winnipeg at the expo right around it’s release…..
OPC Premier… Really liked the use of the 2007 All Star game patch on the triple patches.. I actually have a couple more to the hoard since I last scanned these..
As always, conclude with The Cup… The Honourable Numbers here is one of my favorites.. The combination of design, and photo… I have lost count on how many of those I have in my hoard…
