I know I'm going to jinx myself because this isn't in hand yet, but those of you that know me know just how long I've been waiting for this card to surface...and I paid this (reputable I might add) seller a lot more than "better" players sell for...so there's no chance I could get stiffed on this 
Many many moons ago, the first SP Game Used Letter Marks started to pop out. I was still firmly collecting hockey at the time, namely Mike Cammalleri. When I saw he was on the Letter Marks checklist, I realized I'd need 20% of the overall print run just to complete his name.
Me = :whatthehell: ... followed by :duh:
So I only bought the letter C, and later that summer, I decided to get the rest of the nameplate since I was only down to lower numbered stuff to get. Managed to get everything except the E. Then 2007 turned into 08, and 09, and on and on again until last week when it FINALLY popped up, 5 years after I stopped collecting him and for a fairly high BIN price. I'd JUST put out a lot of $ for UFC stuff, but realized (with a bit of motivation from Steve and Ryan) that I couldn't let it go....
So FINALLY it's coming home, and I'll FINALLY be able to scan the name together.
So out of the cards I still really really want...the 03-04 MVP Gold Script is the last one. I still look out for the others, but they aren't so important.
There's also going to be an MMA counterpart to this there soon since my MMA Whale came in as well...I'll get to that later.
Last show and tell isn't a hockey pickup at all. I've been around here for a while, and some of you have known me for a long time. Back through my bachelor days....and then my not so bachelor days. I just got married back in February, and some of the people I've met through HI were there, and now it's time for another chapter in life...
My wife and I are expecting our first child next April. :beer:
It's not so surprising since it was all planned, but it still takes you a bit aback nevertheless. We don't know yet whether it's a boy or girl (we'll be finding out though - We're not really "surprise" style people in that sense.)
This is going to be a bit different than any other crazy stuff I've ever undertaken in life, and I definitely am looking forward to this. I know that some of the gang here that know are pretty excited they're going to be uncles and such (I'm from a brown family - Everybody is Uncle or Aunty :laugh: ) and I've already been offered free babysitting from pretty well everybody in my family (including my cousins) so it's great to see that level of support.
