UD BAP Questions???

I guess Upper Deck BAP is gonna be released 8/10. At least that's what a couple of my suppliers are saying. That is unless they push it back again. I have a few questions, mabye some of you guys can help.

1. Anybody have any idea what a "good" price is gonna be for a box?

2. Do you guys think the checklist is accurate, and some of the guys like Sakic, Sundin, etc. are really going to sign?

3. I read an information sheet at my local money pit that said the odds of pulling a "base" auto were 1:2 Packs. Also it said the odds of pulling a Dual auto was 1:8 Packs or 1 per box. I am no math genious, but with 1 auto per pack, what are the other packs going to contain.

I have several other questions, but this is a good start. Any thoughts anyone? Mike

just my 2 cents but double autos are 1:10 (triple 1:90 and quad 1:180)
that's true that i don't understand why autos in pack are 1:1 and single auto are 1:2

The stated odds for single autos should be something like 9:10, not 1:2... but this is UD we're talking about.

Mike SRP is $10 a pack with 10 packs a box. I would say a good price would be in the $80 range. I am not sure about what other auto cards they are referring to unless they have a gold, die-cut, or some parallel variation of some sort. No autos of Gretzky, Yzerman, Orr, Bourque, or Roy which may be cause for concern. My 2 cents.

Not sure if it is an accurate statement.But I was told this morning by a local dealer that Upper Deck has cut production by as much as 70%.They were having way too much trouble getting autos back because of the players year of leasure time.So if this statement has only a bit of truth too it than I would say that as a collector we will only have one chance to buy this product at the opening prices.Large wholesalers will buy it up and hold it for a few weeks to drive the price up where only the well to do can buy it.But only about a week to wait and see.Winston.
