And you wonder why more shops and dealers are posting less....

If you really thought we come on here to BS you - why didn't you call UD to find out versus casting doubt towards my reputation?

I wasn't doubting you - but if you take a look closely - I asked this question over a month ago when there was rampant speculation going on, but no actual word directly from the horse's mouth. Between that and all the dumping on the hobby in general, as well as the constant UD bashing going on - I considered that to be a fair question. Especially considering how often the torches are brought out when the tiniest things are found to be off. Your response is a testament to that generic attitude that pervades this hobby. Someone asks a valid question, and then gets teed off on.

If you think I'm questioning your integrity - you are sadly mistaken. And if you had a bloody clue, you would've seen that I've been about trying to grow this hobby and am getting tired of the crap, the negativity, and the what's the value of this card first attitude that we see everyday.

And FYI - I'm not no Johnny come lately - I've been collecting for over 30 years and have seen it all. If you still want to think of me as an idiot, be my guest. I don't have time nor the inclination to deal with that - but if you have to come take potshots at me - MORE THAN A MONTH AFTER THAT POST - maybe you should think about that before making that kind of post - if there's anything to question - it's that

We would have considered this project but this is another of the licenses the UD took away from us by promising Hockey Canada the world and delivering nothing. I guess it was their attempt to try and put another nail in our coffin.

Oh well, getting used to it.

Geez, someone poop in your cornflakes this morning? Art is a great guy and if you took 2 seconds to get off your high horse you would have realized he was simply asking a QUESTION. We've all heard of bogus "rumours" in this hobby before. This could have been exactly that. Asking for confirmation shouldn't offend you in any way. I find your reply to be rude and obnoxious. Not smart for a so-called businessman with 20 years experience. I can honestly say I would never set foot in your store after reading this

Actually Frankiefives, someone did poop in my cornflakes this morning. The members who came into the store and informed me (today) that our reputation was being questioned in this thread by a moderator... Maybe he was, maybe he was not - but members who are also my customers viewed it that way.

Hama is absolutely right, I should have replied to this thread a month ago but I never re-visited this thread as I never assumed that when we share information (as an insider), it would be challenged or doubted, especially when we include the source. As mentioned, we found out about it today.

As for Hama, I'm sure both you and him are great guys - this hobby is full of great people. I am currently pissed at him for a post he made. He's likely pissed at me for my reply. Three weeks from now niether of us will likely care but until then, I do care.

So, until then, I will look down from that high-horse you think I am on. I sure hope it does not crap on the rug. What do you feed high-horses?

As for you never stepping foot in my store - LOL. I never expected you to make the journey from Ottawa anyway. But if you do, call first - I'll get you to pick us up some Tim Horton's on the way. (I'm kidding of course).

No one ever wants to lose a customer but part of our so-called business plan is to keep doing what we have been doing for the last 20 years - keeping the customers from here happy first by providing great customer service, competitive prices and a fun place to hang out. I hope you understand.
