UD Fall Toronto Promotion, Anything yet?

Has anyone heard of what UD will be doing for the
Fall Toronto show yet?

UD1 is usually the big break, but it won't hit until
after the show.

Nothing yet. I've heard UD1 for November 9th - which would be in time for the Expo. I would also guess it's something like the Priority Signings again.

Thanks for clearing up this release date! I wonder if it was just a case of not paying attention to the calender?.... :rolleyes:

Or was it that they realized the folly of releasing their cornerstone product after the Fall Expo! :eek: LOL!

My wholesaler said they were given a 11/14 delivery date.

I would be very surprised if the redemption program doesn't involve the 05/06 SPA Wave 2 product that is occupying space in a warehouse somewhere.What better way to unload a 1000 boxes.Buy a box of SPA on the floor and get a free 1 from the UD booth.:cool:

Thats a great idea, but that should have been done at the Spring Expo IMO... The Fall Expo should have the Priority Signings cards that everyone expects them to have... However, I will not be surprised if they don't do it this year... :rolleyes:

I just got word from Chris Carlin that they are DEFINITELY doing Priority Signings again this year... just so everyone knows... :D

06-07 UD I is going to be released on November 9th.. So I'd pretty much bet that this is the 'Go To!' product! ;)

Yeah, most likely gonna be UD1 since its supposed to be out the day before the show... I never asked him though, but I would be very surprised if it wasn't. They may have another redemption set up for opening up last years products as well though, like they did last year...

Wonder what kinda ******* prices the floor will see this year with not many rookies being in the opening crop.
Malkin can't drive a product to the kind of prices we saw last year

My question has probably been beaten to death but I missed any such threads. Can Malkin even be in Series 1? Doesn't he have to make an NHL appearance first? Sure they can take pre-season pictures, but until he plays, I thought no card could be produced. And with Malkin's injury, it is arguable that he will not have played a game before Upper Dork packs out the boxes/cases.

Just curious.


And I still say the Priority Signings with have redemptions in them!!!!! :eek:

unless they do a redemption for malkin
 
I honestly think they will just make them anyways and hope that Malkin debut's before the big show... as long as he plays before the release date its all good. So, he could make his debut one night and his cards could be out the day after. I don't think its too risky to do that since he should be back a couple weeks before the big show...

I think they use preseason photos...What about Wolski last year with the Avs...Did he start the year with the Big Club? Maybe he did...I just can't recall him playing the first of the year...

I believe Wolski did play in the first game of the 2005-06 Season (Oct 5th v's Edmonton). If I'm wrong I apologise. :rolleyes:

Wolski started the year with the Avs - they use preseason photos quite regularly for rookies, but they can't make the card until they play in a regular season game.
