ud message about card not produced

I know it is very minor, but ud messaged me that the Stan Smyl? auto champions was not produced. Typical ud - notice the small case lettering for ud. They have to earn respect to get CAPITALS
How often has this happened. I had an 07-08 Cup Uncut sheet not produced. It just keeps going and going and going and going and going........................
Without a doubt, their quality control and production system absolutely suck.
I do not buy ud wax anymore. Anybody wonder why. I have my receipt from Wests Sportscards for 2008 and the total was over 100 000.00
I complained to ud and their attitude was *tough*
But I guess in their favour they were going through huge staffing changes and cut. They will always have an excuse

About as good as my Ultimate Hockey box the other day with a "decoy" and 3 cards inside.....Now I'm gonna get one of those sweet "randomly" selected hits in the next 10 weeks......what do ya bet it won't be the redemption they claimed "might be missing". They know but don't know what card I should have received....
 
i can see why you'd be upset about the uncut sheet; that's just UD being lazy and not printing one out but upset about someone not signing?
 
While I agree on general principle, people would be mighty chuffed at the alternative.
 
Disappointed to hear this. Anyways, I called them today and requested my replacement for Smyl (who I actually player collect). So I gave them a wantlist of Trevor Linden / Alexandre Burrows or any other current Canuck (I should have mentioned other than Luongo, "he gone").

I paid $7.49 dlvd (US funds) so we'll see what/how they do. I'm not needing a goldmine, but a decent 15-20 book value card that fits into my collection would be nice.

I was told that it would be 8-12 weeks - so December pretty much. I'll see what happens.

Got the cards today - wonder why they even bother asking for requests.

06/07 Parkhurst 46 John Davidson and 96 Pete Peeters.

I can probably sell them for $10 give or take, so with fees I'll probably break even, and getting 2 vintage autos for a different vintage auto is a good trade. However, I did request Canucks and just am confused why they bother take requests if they are planning to ignore them.

Also, took 23 weeks from replacement request to fulfill so that was disappointing as well as not getting a card of a player who I collect.
 
I'm still waiting on my replacement for the same card, but I just checked and it shows as shipped after waiting 5 months. If you didn't get anything remotely close to your requests, I guess I won't expect the same.

Sorry you didn't get something you could actually use for your PC. You'd think after making you wait all that time they could at the very least try to accomidate you in some way that would make you happy, and a continued customer, but this company just doesn't get it.

On the bright side, I actually need both the Peeters, and Davidson autos for my set I'm working on, so if you want to sell them LMK how much, or feel free to look through my bucket for some Canucks. Not sure what I have, but check it out if you want! Thanks, Troy

Surprise, surprise. I got the EXACT same cards in the mail today and I can guarantee you that those are not even remotely close to Alex Tanguay. However, I did get the added bonus of a Pavel Bure 99-00 SOTT as well. I'm sure Randy has that one on his wantlist, so it's all good.
 
I've been stiffed heavily on redemptions as well over the years, so now I simply don't bother and sell them for some sort of return....and I very rarely buy them on the secondary market either.

Did you really spend $100 Grand at Wests in one year? That's alot of green for Cup cases, but as long as you had fun and even better, made a ROI....now that would be an awesome outcome that would at least offset the redemption pain.

The original poster is no longer a member, but I have seen him at a local card show and that number seems to jive with the stuff I've seen him with.
 
Wow ...Thats funny...I have been waiting on the Smyl as well...I got asked to contact them for a replacement...so i did...talk to a rep...told him i collect older,retired guys hence the Smyl redemption for parkhurst auto...said they would try to fill it with something like that....I also asked about another card that i had not seen...Middleton auto....i was told that was being maid and he would make a note to see if that would work...great as i need for the set....Anyway cards arrived today.............Guess who

That explains why there have been so many Davidson, and Peeters Parky autos on ebay the last little while. I was thinking to myself last week that it was odd so many of just those two.
