UD Redemption Day + eBay win

Two packages arrived and grateful to have these in hand. With these two redemptions in from UD that gets me down to only one more outstanding from around 80 at one time!

First up is a card I picked up off eBay and glad to have this in my collection.

Then the first card in from UD. Interesting in that when I pulled the redemption card it said "Material Signatures" I figured it was going to be a patch but no. I think this may be a skate as the swatch has two "ribs" in it and feels like leather but then I am no expert.

And this card! Back on July 15th when I opened the pack and saw the back side of a skinny redemption, I said a quick prayer, "please don't be Quenneville!" I had already pulled that redemption.

Flipped the card over!

Prayer answers in a positive!

It was a surprise. I use my work address for cards and when the package arrived I was very busy and did a quick look. At the time I thought "oh great one of UD's famous one color patches! YUCK a one color PATCH!"

But when I got home and took the card out of the holder to scan, I realized then it was not a swatch from pants or a jersey, it was something totally different, so getting a piece of a skate is very, very nice.

Nice cards. The exquisites have a lot of eye appeal.

Odd though that they use "Colorado" instead of "Avalanche" on the Sakic, when the Larionov and all the others I could find use the team 'nickname'.

Probably because Avalanche by itself as a name probably has been trademarked by another party - that's why it will be listed as Colorado or Colorado Avalanche when describing the team.
