UD Redemption Question

Not what you guys are thinking.... I am thinking about ripping some 05-06, 06-07 and 07-08 product over the summer if I can get my hands on some cases at the "right" price. My question is, does anyone know how to find out which products still have "live" redemptions. I have been burned before ripping a case only to find out that the redemptions had expired a few months prior. Any info would be helpful. Mike

I'm pretty sure everything from 2005/06 is expired. UD is already using those as mass replacements recently.

You are probably borderline with 2006/07 depending on the month the products were released.

I just cracked a box of 06-07 Hot Prospects and it has a 2010 redemption. I brought this up awhile ago on the boards. Wondering if anybody cared, and got almost zero response. I thought it would mean more to people, but I guess if you aren't buying old wax, it doesn't really matter.

So are the 05/06 Cup redemptions now officially dead too? I remember hearing from others here that they were extended...

Thanks for the replies guys. I guess the best thing to do before ripping into a case is to ask around to see if anyone knows if the redemptions are live or not.... There should be a better way.

Rookie Update was extended from what I understand till the end of 2008, so they're officially dead. The box prices of 05-06 Ice started tailing downward recently, so I believe the redemptions from those are expired as well (kind of similar to what happened with 04-05 SPA)

I think the Cup's redemptions say that they're expired, but are still being honored. cassijon pulled an expired redemption from the Cup at the Big One (at least I think it was expired) and it was honored.

The thing is, even though the cards say they're expired, the UD site may still take them. I've had a couple redemptions I found that passed their expiry date, but when I entered them, they were fulfilled (nothing high end, just artifacts rookies)

It would be good to have this type of info available on the site....maybe if Bruce does some sweet talking to the boys at UD they might keep us up to date on the expiration date for all of their products.

06-07 Ultra has run out of rc redemptions (this happend less than year after the product came out) son no Staal, Malkin or Kessel.

06-07 SPA says it expires in 2010... still don't have my early april redeemed Dave Bolland /100 FW AU Patch yet though.

06-07 SPA has inventory depleted on FW auto Patches of Malkin, it's a very bitter pill to swallow...

I have not received the card that I redeemed since 2006.

To my knowledge, all 05-06 product has expired.

you have to contact UD as they will not go through their redemptions for insanely overdue cards like yours.

While I do have one card that I've been waiting on since 2007, I was trying to make the point that it is extremely rare for me to actually get the card that I redeem for.

Generally, it isn't made and some sort of replacement is sent.
