UD redemption replacement, I need your opinions!

Hi,
A few weeks ago I called UD to replace some way weay way overdue redemptions, and thus to do my part to help them move faster to their new system.

I replaced these:

Ilya Kovalchuk 06/07 Sweet Shot Puck Signings BV $20

Alex Hemsky 06/07 Sweet Shot Ice Signings BV $15

Steve Downie 07/08 SPX Auto/Dual Jsy RC BV $25

Pat Lafontaine 06/07 The Cup Enshrinements Auto BV $50

I really wanted the Lafontaine, but otherwise I didn't care about the rest. I asked UD to combine all the BVs and send me 1 card for the total BV. The Customer Service person said they don't do that, but he agreed to try to not break the replacements down below 1 for 1.

They asked me for my player's list, I said don't bother, none of the players I collect have BVs this low.

This is what I got:

Becket does not have a listed BV for this, but I see some of the old timers have a pretty high BV. How did I do? Is this a $110 card (the combined BV of my redemptions)?

Obviously as a Habs fan I have some bias in this matter, but I'd say yeah, you blew those other redemptions out of the water with this replacement.

Hi Sean , not sure what this card books at but i think you did well. I'd be pretty happy overall. Lettermarks are super popular and if I had to guess, i'd say this card would book in the 100-150 range.

I think you did well especially with getting the one card. Usually it's the other way around....You send 1 bid card to UD and you get 8-10 cards in return. I wouldn't be complaing at all with that one!!

if you didn't care about the other cards (minus the LaFontaine), i'd be happier with the letter marks than the 4 smaller cards. if you did care, then that would be a different story.

You are absolutely correct. I didn't initially ask for a replacement on that card, when I was giving the list of others, there were some football ones in addition to the Lafontaine, Hemsky, & Kovalchuk, the Customer Service guy asked me if I wanted to replace the Downie. I said that the website says I can't and he told me they were giving replacements so I said "sure"!

as far as getting a LaFontaine auto, you are better off chasing an ITG auto of his. i do believe that there are autos of his in Ultimate and i know there are in Franchises, but those are SP'd. being that ITG doesn't seem to have redemptions at all anymore, that would be your best avenue. i pulled a redemption of LaFontaine from Parkhurst and waited until it was replaceable and pulled the trigger. the man seems to like taking his time signing...
