:|:| I ORIGINALLY REDEEMED A 06-07 TRILOGY CLEARCUT 1-2-3 BRUINS AUTO WHICH HAD BOURQUE/OREILLY/NEELY BACK IN FEB 07.I FINALLY DECIDED TO ASK FOR A REPLACEMENT SINCE I HAD A STRONG FEELING IT WASNT BEING MADE. CALLED JASON AT UD (FIRST TIME ASKING FOR REPLACEMENTS) AND HE WAS NICE AND SAID THAT HE WILL PUT IN THIS ORDER LEMIEUX/GRETZKY/THORNTON/SHARKS SINCE THE BV ON THE CLEARCUT IS 75-150. JASON STATED THAT THEY WOULD USE THE HIGH BV OF 150-200 AND WILL TRY FOR THE FIRST 2 DUE TO THE VALUE OF THE CARD..WELL I GOT MY REPLACEMENTS TODAY.........:mad::|:crazy::dead::dizzy::curse:

Although, that Triple SOTT featuring those three Ex-Leafs is just Brutal line up, IMO... :o

I think that replacement isn't too bad. I'm not familiar with the Marks of Distinction but if it's as tough as Vegaspuck makes it to be, then I'd figure you made out pretty well.

The Bernier isn't rare at all, it just wasn't packed into SPA wax. There are more and more being sent out as replacements and/or "thanks for waiting" packages. A couple of weeks ago, bidding on the card got a little crazy (set builders) with a couple sales in the $40-50 range. But now the last couple of instances I've seen the card sales are in the $10-15 range. I think it'll eventually settle in as a common SOTT which generally can be found for $2-4 plus shipping.

The SOTT triple on the other hand is one I hadn't seen yet. It's not on the checklist, but since it's numbered /25 like the other triples, it's not rare relative to others. However, since it likely wasn't packed into wax there are likely fewer of those available on the market (so far).

That said, slowly but surely I'm putting the set of triples together (11 of 24 so far) so is it available?

Problem is, here we have UD once again taking a single card that's worth $150 or $200 with Hall of Fame autos (not to mention it is the Bruins and we know how hardcore their collectors are), and replacing it with mutliple cards to add up to the single cards BV, and he didn't ask for Leafs or Sabres. If they sent a Sharks quad auto with Thornton & Marleau on there, or even a triple, that makes it a little easier to stomach. It's just getting old with UD when they take 1 really nice single, and turn it into multiple cards.
 
i think you understand what im thinking tony- not mad at "value" just thought id get either something i asked for, or more sharks..they hit 1/4 suggestions.i know i can move them if i want, but oh well..thats life of the redemption era. atleast i got my sharks clearcut and even the stars clear cut..thanks for all the info guys..i really do appreciate it..go sharks!!!!
 
i'd have to agree that yeah that is kind of a kick in the fruitloops

If it were me I'd try to move the Bernier's and triple SOTT asap since there are not that many out there atm.

I agree, if your going BV for BV you go card for card. It's pointless saying you did well getting that back. I will take a $150bv card over 4 cards with a total bv of $200 or so. UD is notorious for swapping out single high bv cards with a random package deal.
 
thanks for all your comments...i wouldve been happier with a single card,but oh well. i took Bruces advise and emailed UD (Chad), so we will see if anything happens...ill keep everyone informed.
