UD vs IRS?

There's not a lot of info out there but a court date is in 3 weeks. Some are saying they could owe "millions to 100 million"? What is this going to mean for the hockey hobby moving forward? I was just about to post this.

UD has owed money to players and leagues for years, it's not surprising to me at all.

If I'm Panini right now I would be scheming up something...

Looks like they're doing a whole bunch of pre trial ju jitsu and some of it could be under seal. Might not find out too much until it's all over

Well, he did always warn us to pay our taxes...

No sympathy for UD here if they have been evading taxes and providing paycheques to signers for years...just my 2 cents.

UMmmm - not sure what this particular filing has to do with ANYTHING you are mentioning.

This suit is between the ESTATE of McWilliams and the IRS.
Most likely the dispute is about the the valuation of the UD stock either held or in trust for the McWilliams.
This has NOTHING to do with what Upper Deck may or may not owe to any other parties .

I don't think this is right..

As i understand it, UD owes $80 million to govt and UD is trying to keep all court records under seal so customers nor competitors act any differently.

I could be wrong, but this is my understanding.

Actually, if records were unsealed we wouldn't have to rely on 3rd party accounts..
Unseal them already!
