Pffft, a few months isnt terrible, I'm breaking a year on a bunch of my redemptions (with players who have autos in new products). But those sound like 2 sweet cards, I hope UD comes through for you soon.

I bow to all of you. My redemptions aren't as old as yours, and I can't keep my cool :mad: I don't know how you stay so relaxed about it...maybe I should cool it a bit huh?
 
It's kinda funny. For a few weeks there it seemed UD was really making an effort to crank out some redemptions to all of us.

But sicne The Cup hit and they gobbled up everyone's dough, they seem to have gone into seclusion........coincidence?:rolleyes: :p
 
Well Brian, on the positive side, at least the autos supposedly are not at UD. The Cole autos for BAP have been in house since December according to UD's "progress notes", but still no sign of the cards. I did like the notes said and expected delays, but not even the airlines are this bad!

I'm waiting on that same quad, but I redeemed mine on 9/4/05. I just had a Laraque auto ship though!!! :rolleyes:
 
I will be hitting the 1 year mark within a couple days. To make things worse, I had one that shipped a month ago and nothing has shown up as of yet.
 
Those do sound like cool cards. I know I've been waiting for a few redemptions for over a year now. I also had one stolen on it's way to me and it took forever to get UD to send a replacement. They even received a check for the case I filed and never told me.

UD Redemptions

Here is my fine list, as you can tell alot of them have hit 1 year anniversaries.....I think at 5 years you get diamonds??? The Robinson and the Zetty was changed from in stock to the current status....this is a ridicuouls way to run a business and they have pretty much stopped responding to inquiries.

I have one over a year old, which is bad enough, but every call I made got me a different answer. I finally contacted Chris Carlin himself, who WAS able to get this one card in the mail to me and provide a tracking number, but what kibbles my bits is that two of the perhaps 10 different reps I spoke to over the past 6 months BOTH told me it was shipped but got returned, which is (of course) complete garbage.

Meh.

Jerry, you should contact Chris directly on your cards. PM if you'd like his email addy. You have WAAAAAAAAYYYYY too much money tied up in their tired process.
 
Here's the one I'm most concerned with:

HOWE / GRETZKY / MAHOVLICH / LAFLEUR / ESPOSITO / HULL
04/05 NHL SP AUTHENTIC SIX STAR SIGNATURES (L17) In Process 6/24/2005 Waiting for athlete to return card.

This is one of the two cards I have been waiting on for 14 months now (the other timespan of cards I am waiting on can be seen in my signature). Just to add to the frustration, here are some more "interesting" info about super high end cards of Gretzky from SP Authentic from the last two years.

Gretzky has had 3 Octographs released in the last two years, one was not a redemption, the other two were and have yet to be sent out to collectors

Gretzky has also had 3 Six Star Signatures, all redemptions, and none of been sent out to collectors.

To me personally, this is appalling at best. This, along with several other reasons and issue I hold against UD, is why I no longer buy UD wax, will probably no longer buy unredeemed Gretzky cards, and will become more conservative in my spending on Gretzky cards. UD has taken pretty much all the fun and joy out of collecting (to me personally) especially on cards that should have revolutionized the market, with Gretzky leading the way. At least I have some other collections that fortunately do not include UD in any way. That is pretty much the only thing (besides the great people on HI :cool: ) that is keeping me going.

That was good to get off my chest, thanks for reading my feelings.
 
UD Redemptions are a joke, even the way they are redeemed have gotten so sloppy that I am amazed its even allowed. Redemption cards dont even include all of the info anymore (see my bourque/espo cup auto jersey no one knew if it was /7 /10 or /77) And now when you redeem some cup rookies it doesnt even say their name!?!. Here is another fine example, I picked up 2 spa rookies for my set eaves and gorges i enter them and this is what I see..

I dont even wnat to get into my old redemptions that are 12+ months, including an erik cole card, says in house ready to ship since oct 2005!??? Are you serious? I dont even want to call to replace it because I will probably get back a used button from a jacket... its erik cole people!
