Well boys and girls we dropped the ball on the predictions. Without a lie I did fairly well Aurelio, and Hague let me down. Yes I went against Leban, can't stand the dude.

Nog looks like he is back to being the Nog I remember, and I see a submission in Lesnar's future.

Of course the best part of the night (other than the Fight Network showing Affliction: Banned just before UFC started) was Maia getting KTFO by my boy Nate the Great Marquardt (future superstar).

Lots of Mir vs. A. Silva talk floating around. Hey I want to see it, Mir isn't Forrest, could be trouble for the Spider.

That PPV was absolutely amazing!!! Almost each fight, with the exception of Vera and however you spell his name (..i'm loaded, so I won't make an attempt :D) ended in either knock-out or submission. I loved seeing Leben get pwned! Overall, great PPV!

I agree it was a great night of fights; I'm out in Vancouver right now and my brother and I wen to this great pub that had $6.50 doubles, it got out of hand in a hurry. Nog looked great; and even in defeat Randy is the freaking man. The crowd in Portland was awesome, especially for the main event.

Randy did look awesome, I was also shocked. Nog is just a supreme competitor, world class.

Randy's got a few more fights in him clearly. I think he should drop down to LHW. There could be some really interesting matchups, perhaps a Liddell vs. Couture IV matchup :)

Yeah he definitely should be fighting LHW at his age (other than the fact the LHW is stacked with people that would kill him). However the reason I say that is he looked small against Nog, who isn't really huge himself. Randy is just way to small for the super weights of this day. I still have this funny feeling he will hurry into his next fight asap, then run to Fedor in Strikeforce. The "interesting" fights part of his post game speech seems to hint at that.

Just got back from Portland, Awesome event!

Went down Thursday night with Gordon (.g.) and Derek (burebuyer).

Heres a view from our seats:

Could be 6 fights to perhaps give him a chance to fight Fedor in the future, Fedor only has 3 fights signed under Strikeforce. It was a great fight, I was amazed how Couture got out of that submission, he had some good strikes but was just outfought in each round. This card overall was well worth its money, a 6 second knockout (yes it should of been 6 seconds) a 20 second knockout and Leben being submitted ( he actuyally did tapout but it wasnt ended so he went out cold) Overall a great fight night.

Great fights! UFC102 had knockouts galore, sweet submissions, and epic battles. Just goes to show you that you don't need huge names and title bouts to have a great night of fights. UFC96, UFC99, and UFC102 have been three of the best cards lately (in terms of excitement), and the headline for each of them was a non-title fight (Franklin vs. W Silva, Jackson vs. Jardine, and this one)

Randy will never fight Fedor... period. Fedor will never sign with the UFC because Fedor's camp insists on co-promotion and I guarantee the UFC will never co-promote with anyone.... especially M-1.

Randy's new contract calls for him to fight 6 fights in no specified time. He doesn't have 6 more fights so the UFC can basically guarantee that he'll finish his career with them. This way, if Randy gets tired or has another beef with the UFC, he can't retire, wait out his contract, and go fight somewhere else. He must fight 6 fights in order to get out of his contract.

I figured this had to be the case. Sherdog originally announced that it was a 6 fight 28 month contract. But it makes no sense for the UFC to let that sort of loophole in just in case they have another falling out.
