Everbody made weight. The thing that upsets me the most is that yesterday Karo Parisyan pulled out of his fight with one of my favorite fighters Dustin "McLovin" Hazelett. The fight that I was most interested in. Oh well. The Rosholt/Grove, and Davis/Saunders fights are going to air live on spike at 7:00 P.M. mountain time.

What a night of fights! Wow. Dare I say that the Griffin/Ortiz fights was one of the best I've ever watched.

The Tito/Forrest fight was yet another close hard fought fight, decision could have went either way and I would not have argued. Forrest won by split decision and I think that was the right call. First round I had 20-19 Ortiz, I figure that one was obvious. Second round was interesting. The 2-2-1/2 minutes it was on the fight Forrest definitely had the upper hand. However Tito did get two takedowns and opened Forrest up pretty good. Once again there is a 'however'. Forrest flipped/rolled Tito on his back and finished it off strong. That round I had as a draw. Final round Forrest was purely dominating. Landing dozens of clean shots and a wide variety of kicks and punches. He mixed it up beautifully. Tito had two lazy takedown attempts which Forrest stuffed easily, also I don't think tito landed any clean shots in the 3rd. I had that round 20-18 Forrest. So when is all said and done Forrest wins by one point in my eyes so a split decision from the judges seems right.

Well the Koschek/Johnson fight was confusing to say he least. What in the hell happened there in the first round? so Rumble throws an illegal knee then Koschek fakes an eye poke? Sigh, luckily I hate both these fighters so I had no interest in the outcome of this fight. As soon as Koschek got it too the ground in the second I knew Johnson was done. I like Koscheks speech after the fight 'I'm the number one contender, not Dan Hardy' Sure thing bud, wait didn't GSP already steam roll you once? Oh well, go for it Josh, he'll steam roll you again.

Little Nog had a very very impressive KO. It was quick, it was beautiful. I'll leave it at that.

Thiago was somewhat impressive in his win over Volkman. However, I thought his finishing ability was horrible. He rocked Volkman two or three times where I thought it was done. The first time he just didn't pounce, the second time he clinched for some unknown reason giving Volkman time to recover. He definitely deserved to win that fight but that fight had no business going to decision.

Just as I expected in the Sadollah/Baroni fight. An early storm from NYBA with little effect and then pure dominance from Sadollah the rest of the way. Baroni gassed very very quickly and it was kind of embarassing the rest of the way. Looked like a fight from this seasons TUF.

All in all a great night of fights.

Man, I didn't do too bad in my pre-fight picks...I only lost out on Uno and Larson, if the Uno call is considered a loss

I was wavering on the Baroni fight, but the only reason I thought Sadollah could pull it off was his desperation, and the fact that if he let Baroni swing for 90 seconds, he'd probably gas enough to allow Sadollah take charge of the fight, but I admit, I was scared in that first minute, to the point where I said "this could actually be a really crazy asskicking if Baroni continues to connect."

You know...much as I like seeing some of the oldies return, this new school vs old school stuff has been rather painful to watch. The old schoolers seem to train like it's still 2000's standup wars and gas faster than Gordon on chili night.

With the loss, Baroni's edging into Tank Abbott territory for highest popularity with lowest UFC win percentage too isn't he? I don't have his stats up in front of me, but he's got to be at least 2-5, if not 2-6 now.

Pretty close, he's 3-6 in the UFC now. It's really too bad, cause I love watching the guy fight. He may have lost that fight, but he showed he has tooooooons of heart and fought till the end.

I'm surprised nobody's commented on Forrest's choice of music. Coming out to Chumbawamba's Tubthumping. I loved it. I get knocked down, but I get up again, you're never going to keep me down. That is really funny ironic choice after the Anderson Silva fight. That is right up there with Jon Jones coming out to Angry Johnny by Poe as best choice of entrance music for a fighter.
