not the most intriguing of cards, a little bit of a downer since ufc 126 was such a stacked main card - should be some good fights though. these are the types of cards where you go in with low expectations and walk out saying wow.

Like you said not the best looking card on paper, but a number of really interesting, likely entertaining fights. I'm looking forward to it.

Wow, great card, but how the heck did that last fight go to a draw? Fitch clearly dominated him in the htird round...even Penn thought he had lost.

Yeah I am glad I found a stream of this event because that was crap. No title fights on the card, and the BS decision taking the victory from Fitch who clearly won the fight. Also Bisping with his illegal knee was a cheap move big time. That definitely had something to do with the outcome of that fight even if Bisping is a much better fighter. All and all I wasn't impressed by this UFC event and can see why so many people criticize this sport. Here is to hoping the free event on Versus can wow me back into watching these popularity contests..........I mean fights.

I didn't have that much of an issue with the Fitch/Penn decision. I thought that Fitch won as well, but it's not a horrible outcome. And two of the judges agreed about Fitch dominating the third round, and scored it for him 10-8 thus the draw. I thought it was a good night of fights. There isn't going to be a title fight on every card. And what this card lacked in big time fights it made up for (in my opinion) in entertaining fights.

That's interesting. I didn't realize it was a 10-8 round for Fitch that resulted in the draw...I thought the judges scored the first round 10-8 Penn. I'd scored the fight 10-9 Penn, 10-9 Fitch, 10-9 Fitch personally, and like the only person left in the room with me at the time (everybody left due to the snowfall here) we thought Fitch had won a close decision. I even said "it wouldn't surprise me if someone did score it 29-28 Penn."

The Bisping thing though...I was surprised my girlfriend was a Bisping fan going into the fight, and surprised she even sort of defended him during the knee, but come on...there's no excuses for what he did...trash talk aside. The apology afterward was phony, especially after he spat on Rivera's cornermen and again didn't apologize for that. If you can't take trash talk in stride at this point in your career, you really need to seek the help of someone that can help you work through it not affecting you so much. I really hope he gets some sort of fine because of that, or the spitting.

I had it 10-9 Penn the first two and then 10-8 for Fitch in the 3rd as he dominated Penn. As for the knee by Bisping it was intentional you can see he had a second of hesitation before he threw it. It clearly had an effect on the outcome of the match. During the stream when the doctors were in the ring you can overhear the doctor tell the ref that he had symptoms of a concussion.

The whole thing with Bisping was pathetic. Now I do not blame Jorge Rivera for doing what he did to hype the fight. Nobody thought it was an interesting fight when announced, and everyone that I watched the fight with was in to it after seeing the rangerup videos. He did a great job; however, it is well known that Bisping takes criticism extremely personal.

As an aside I heard a story about after one of his fights Randy Couture was on ESPN's MMA Live talking about Bisping's performance and was critical about some aspects of his game. What Randy didn't know was that Bisping was just off the set with a headset on, heard everything Randy had said and absolutely lost it.

So with that said Rivera had to know that Bisping was liable to do some stupid stuff. Like spitting on his boxing coach. None of Bisping's actions are defensible in any way. I liked a statement made by an MMA reporter after the fights calling Bisping a sociopath.

Ten signs of sociopath:

not learning from experience
no sense of responsibility
inability to form meaningful relationships
inability to control impulses
lack of moral sense
chronically antisocial behavior
no change in behavior after punishment
emotional immaturity
lack of guilt
self-centeredness

It could be argued that Bisping has many of these traits.

belfort just called out wandy and now bisping. i think vitor should just take the time off, relax and train. hopefully they will give him wanderlei for ufc rio.

sonnen vs bisping will be epic. if not for the fight, then at least for the trash talk
