UFC 130 FIGHT CARD

PPV Fights
Quinton Jackson vs. Matt Hamill
Frank Mir vs. Roy Nelson
Travis Browne vs. Stefan Struve
Brian Stann vs. Jorge Santiago
Rick Story vs. Thiago Alves

Spike TV Card
Miguel Torres vs. Demetrious Johnson
Kendall Grove vs. Tim Boetsch

Undercard
Renan Barao vs. Cole Escovedo
Chris Cariaso vs. Michael McDonald
Gleison Tibau vs. Rafaello Oliveira

This fight card took a big hit when Edgar pulled out of the title fight, and Maynard turned down a fight with Anthony Pettis; however, the Spike fights, and the Alves/Story, Stann/Santiago fights should be entertaining.

I was really impressed by Brian Stanns power, and Rick storys strength and willing to stand with Alves
not a bad card overall

Roy nelson also needs to lose some weight and take the UFC serious he was so gassed and didnt even really show up for this fight in my opinion anyway
whats everyone elses thoughts

In the past Roy has always shown decent cardio. I think his gassing out had more to do with getting kneed to oblivion and having Mir lean on him against the cage. Would it help if he lost weight? For sure, but Rogan's commentary belies an inconvenient truth in that cardio has never been Nelson's downfall in the past.

I think that Miguel Torres deserved the decision over Johnson. It was a textbook example of controlling the fight from the bottom. I wish I had the money to take Big John's command course, or Herb Dean's course to become a licensed official/judge. Securing takedowns and getting threatened with submissions does not a winner make in my opinion.

Very impressed with Rick Story. I wish this fight would have been 5 rounds because I would have been interested to see how those last two rounds would have played out because Story looked done, and Alves looked to be coming on strong. This was a great free infomercial for the Dulce Diet, that's for sure. It's been, and just becomes more imperative for the UFC to make 5 round non-title fights. Nobody other than the UFC cares about the "special nature" of title fights in that only they should be five rounds.

That sucked.

Gleison Tibau better come out to "She Drives me Crazy" next time he fights...dude looks like he was separated from Roland Gift of Fine Young Cannibals...makes me laugh every time I see his face.
