finally the time has come. I have been waiting for the JBJ v RE fight for six months. I hope its a good one and it goes the distance. Not really looking forward to what else is on the card...not much else although curious to see if the Mullet can put it together and make a run at a UFC title

I'd be very surprised if this one went the distance. I'm also looking forward to see Rory fight again. Just want to see him get as much cage time as possible to develop.

Honestly, I don't recall the last time the undercard for this event was so underpromoted. In fact, I'm not sure I remember an event since UFC 124 where the entire card outside of the main event was so underpromoted. Someone at work today asked me when Rory MacDonald was fighting next, and she and her husband are huge MMA fans (not just the UFC.)

With the exception of Twitter, the only people I've heard peeps out for this card outside of Jones and Evans are Michael McDonald, Alessio and Stephen Thompson. Matt Brown was jawing at Wonderboy after the fight was booked, but he's been pretty quiet since then too.

Looks like a fabulous card, and it's a shame I'm going to miss it because I've been waiting a while to see John Alessio back in the Octagon.

And with all of that Matt this PPV is still likely to do huge numbers. I'm hearing projections of 750-900K buys. LeBron James is tweeting at Jon Jones. I don't think that it is an accident that the rest of this card lacks some star power. With this show it will likely prove that Jon Jones is on the level of GSP, and that he can carry a PPV card himself. The UFC is just testing out the Boxing model on him to see if he can pull it off.

I cannot believe I am going to miss this one. Grrrrrrrr......maybe I can find a way to sneak out of my buddies stag and doe and then sneak back in.

The televised prelims are being shown on the Sportsnet regional channels, Pacific, West, Ontario, and East tonight. Not Sportsnet One.

I'm slightly torn on who to cheer for in the main event. Jones is one of my favorite fighters, but from everything I've heard and read Evans is one of the nicest, realest, best guys in the sport. Plus nobody has better taste in walkout music than Suga.

I'm just going to hope for a great fight, and be happy with whomever comes out on top in this one.

The two MacDonald's showed tonight that they are absolute beasts. Rory in particular is amazing.

Jon Jones with a dominant performance again, bring on, and starch Hendo.

The bonuses were 65K: Knockout of the Night: Ben Rothwell, Submission of the Night: Travis Browne, and Fight of the Night: Eddie Yagin/Mark Hominick.

Very enjoyable night of fights.

Bring on May 5 and FOX 3.

That's rough. Have a few drinks, and then maybe you'll forget that it's even on.

Well......my son was sick last night so I had to stay home. I got to watch some of it but I was looking after him most of the night.

I was dissappointed in the Hominick fight......he found his rhythm wayyyyyyy too late. What killed me was his corner going into the third.....you have to knock him out or sub him to win. Then when he didn't they told him he had the 2nd and 3rd round. Then when mark lost he looked shocked. Actually same thing happened with Efrain thinking he won and when Danzig worked him over the entire fight. Only thing Efrain had was a close sub.

After Big Ben won I am now a fan of his. Seems like a real good guy.

Some really good fights.....McDonald and MacDonald did not dissappoint at all.

And the cherry on top was Jones winning.....good nite.

There was plenty of star power on the card IMO...my feeling was that the UFC wasn't promoting the rest of the card enough. It's a good call on the "boxing" style feel. I don't much like it, but if that's the way they want to go for these marquee cards, then so be it.

Now I know how boxing fans feel when Mohammed Abdul-Jabbar and Larry "The Great Freight of Junction 88" Trane face off, and most people don't know it till fight night :D

How far up Che Mills' *** was Joe Rogan? I think I got the point the first 67 times he threw his name into casual conversation

"Rory "Beautiful" Che Mills MacDonald is one of the "Beautiful" Che Mills best fighters at "Beautiful" Che Mills 170! But you "Beautiful" Che Mills don't know how difficult "Beautiful" Che Mills it is to beat "Beautiful" Che Mills! That "Beautiful" Che Mills guy "Beautiful" Che Mills beat Chris "Beautiful" Che Mills Cope standing "Beautiful" Che Mills still, and we all know "Beautiful" Che Mills how tough "Beautiful" Che Mills Chris Cope is! Rory MacDonald is a "Beautiful" Che Mills FORCE at middleweight. It's scary "Beautiful" Che Mills how good "Beautiful" Che Mills he is!"

End of the night:

Mike Goldberg: Who's next for Jon Jones Joe?
Joe Rogan: "Beautiful" Che Mills!
