UFC 182: Jones vs. Cormier

Good little card this weekend. My dude Cody Garbrandt makes his UFC debut on Saturday, so I'm pretty stoked about that. Cody's a really good dude, and we had him on Beards on MMA last year before we wrapped up the show (although we're coming back in 2015!) where he proceeded to tell us some of the craziest stories I can't repeat here.

Cerrone usually puts on a good show. Hopefully the main event lives up to the hype.

Cormier came out to the weigh-ins wearing a Break Bones t-shirt, love it. Can't pick DC, but would be happy to see him knock off Jones. Apparently the weigh-ins did massive web traffic. This could be a big one.

One of those fights where you hope the actual fight lives up to even half of the pre-fight hype and trash talking.

It's an interesting clash of styles - I wouldn't mind seeing Cormier win.

That first fight was as one-sided as it gets.

Sounds like the prelims were more entertaining than he main card.

The main event was a pretty damn good fight.

And for those lovers of Donald Cerrone, and what fight fan could hate him? He is stepping in, on 13 days notice, for an injured Eddie Alvarez to fight Benson Henderson in what will no doubt be an awesome trilogy fight between the two.

He will be fighting twice in 15 days. The only other time I can remember this happening was Chris Leben back in 2010.

The only downside is that this fight will only be three rounds, when it clearly deserves five.

Jon Jones tested positive for Benzoylecgonine out of competition on Dec 4th - He's entered a drug rehab facility but doesn't face fine/suspension since it isn't banned out of competition by WADA (yet)
