UFC 84: Ill Will

Here's the card for tonight. Undercard starts at 6 mountain time. Main card at 8. Really strong card top to bottom:
Champ B.J. Penn (155) vs. Sean Sherk (155)
Keith Jardine (205) vs. Wanderlei Silva (205)
Lyoto Machida (203) vs. Tito Ortiz (205)
Thiago Silva (205) vs. Antonio Mendes (203)
Wilson Gouveia (205) vs. Goran Reljic (205)
Rousimar Palhares (185) vs. Ivan Salaverry (185)
Kazuhiro Nakamura (206) vs. Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou (204)
Rich Clementi (155) vs. Terry Etim (155)
Jon Koppenhaver (170) vs. Yoshiyuki Yoshida (170)
Dong-Hyun Kim (171) vs. Jason Tan (170)
Shane Carwin (252) vs. Christian Wellisch (230)

Quick picks:
Champ B.J. Penn (155) vs. Sean Sherk (155) Penn to win; I don't soubt BJ's cardio, but I queston anybody's cardio going five rounds with Sherk. I just can't pick against Penn in this fight. Although I would not be surprised if Sherk won.
Keith Jardine (205) vs. Wanderlei Silva (205) If Wanderlei comes out like Houston Alexander I think he can ovedrwhelm Jardine; but I don't think Keith lets that happen to him again. I'm picking Jardine to beat his second straight legend.
Lyoto Machida (203) vs. Tito Ortiz (205) Never been a fan of Tito but I love that he wore a Dana is my b**** shirt to the weigh-ins yesterday. Still I'm going with Machida in this one.
Thiago Silva (205) vs. Antonio Mendes (203) Mis-match of the night; Mendes is not a good fighter, he's going to get clipped by Silva because he (Mendes) has a wild style of throwing punches.
Wilson Gouveia (205) vs. Goran Reljic (205) Reljic trains with CroCop, I think he'll have a run in the UFC much like him. Gouveia to win.
Rousimar Palhares (185) vs. Ivan Salaverry (185) Palhares is going to move up the UFC ranks quick IMO and it starts with a win over Ivan.
Kazuhiro Nakamura (206) vs. Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou (204) Sokoudjou will bounce back but it won't be easy. Nakamura is a durable dude. But I think Sokoudjou's power is for real, and he'll get Nakamura at some point.
Rich Clementi (155) vs. Terry Etim (155) Clementi's streak continues, it'll take a round or two but he'll get the lanky Brit down and sub him.
Jon Koppenhaver (170) vs. Yoshiyuki Yoshida (170) Yoshida, "War Machine" has heart and almost nothing else.
Dong-Hyun Kim (171) vs. Jason Tan (170) Kim, because he's a good all around fighter and Tan isn't.
Shane Carwin (252) vs. Christian Wellisch (230) Wellisch, in the I don't really care match of the night.

Picks are in Bold!

Champ B.J. Penn (155) vs. Sean Sherk (155): I think BJ is in the best condition he has ever been in, and the heat between these two is amazing, I just don't think Sherk can handle this BJ Penn, but he can prove me wrong tonight?

Keith Jardine (205) vs. Wanderlei Silva (205): The way I look at it a must win for both of these guys, Silva has three losses, Keith is as said one of the most inconsistent yet popular guys in this sport, I think this is the fight that will set him up for a Title shot and Silva will be left considering retirement.

Lyoto Machida (203) vs. Tito Ortiz (205): Lyoto is amazing even though I haven't really seen him win a really huge match, Tito has always been great in the octagon and I think he will leave with a huge win on his way out telling Dana to go screw himself or somewhat meaner!

Thiago Silva (205) vs. Antonio Mendes (203)

Wilson Gouveia (205) vs. Goran Reljic (205)

Rousimar Palhares
(185) vs. Ivan Salaverry (185)

Kazuhiro Nakamura (206) vs. Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou (204)

Rich Clementi (155) vs. Terry Etim (155): I saw Terry fight when they went to Britain for the Bisping fight, and he looked real awesome, like the kid!

Jon Koppenhaver (170) vs. Yoshiyuki Yoshida (170)

Dong-Hyun Kim (171) vs. Jason Tan (170)

Shane Carwin (252) vs. Christian Wellisch (230)

First three fights are already in the books:

Corwin TKO win over Wellisch at 44 seconds of Rd. 1.

Kim dominated Jason Tan getting the stoppage at 25 seconds of Rd. 3.

Yoshida with the win over "War Machine" at 56 seconds of the first round via Anaconda choke.

Wow I didn't see Silva winning this own, but really good for him, and once again a sad day for Keith Jardine who continues to win big fights, and then losses an even bigger fight, and good for BJ Penn who I said would win, that guy is awesome and in his best condition he has ever been in, and also I won 20 bucks from a friend who said Sherk was gonna OWN Penn and I said nuh uh. so not a bad night, I think I finished about .350 or something?
