A very good card top to bottom, with title implications in a few fights. The first Fight for the Troops card was one of, if not the most violent fight cards ever. Here are the weigh-in results from this afternoon:

They just extended his contract as well.. But I think if he does lose tonight, they'll cut him as well. But it's ok, he knows where his home is and he's always welcome back.

I'm also pulling for Waylon Lowe. The guy is funny as hell, and his real first name is Mike. He's the only other Mike Low I've ever met. Ok, so he spells his last name with an "E", but still cool that I know another Mike Low"e".
 
hoping that hominick wins - but if he loses, wonder how much of an impact that will have on aldo fighting at 129
 
It was announced this morning that there will now be four fights being streamed live through facebook:

Cody McKenzie vs. Yves Edwards
DaMarques Johnson vs. Michael Guymon
Mike Thomas Brown vs. Rani Yahya
Waylon Lowe vs. Willamy Freire
 
I don't think Joe realized that the stream was going, and doesn't actually "break for commercials" based on how he was cursing. I guess Goldberg has a heater on his feet, even though it's 60 degrees out.
 
Sorry guys; DaMarques with what could well be submission of the night on Guymon, figure four body lock. Like Mike and Joe said it was really reminiscent of Ivan Salaverry's win over Tony Frykland at UFC 50. However, I think that Johnson's technique was even more on point as he threw his hips into it to further bow Guymon's back.
 
I spoke to Joker's wife and she told me that Joker's back popped. I didn't get to see it as 1:00 into the first round, my facebook stream screwed up and I couldn't watch crap... grrrrr!

On a side note, it sounds like Guymon retired after I talked to his wife.

I know he's a friend of yours Mike, but I've pulling for the Joker because of all the hardships he's overcome and how he managed to string it all together to make it to the big stage just a year after. He gets kudos for fighting 2 1/2 minutes (and possibly longer if the fight would've kept going) with a popped back though. Back injuries are the worst to try and work around. You've got 2 arms, you've got 2 legs, but when the system that holds it all together goes...I dunno how you do it.

He doesn't know me, but tell him I wish him the best in retirement.

I have one long lasting memory of Melvin Guillard, which was the Rich Clementi fight where he came in cocky, immature and got worked because of it. It's clear the Guillard last night has his immaturities shaken out, and if he doesn't get caught up in himself again, could end up with his title shot in the next 24 months if he can beat a couple more of the division's elite.
