Verified Trader,
Busy couple of days for UFC fans. I'm looking forward to watch a lot of fights this weekend.
UFC on FX
Main Card (on FX):
Gray Maynard (10-1-1; #4 Lightweight) vs. Clay Guida (29-12; #7 Lightweight)
Sam Stout (17-7) vs. Spencer Fisher (24-8)
Brian Ebersole (49-14-1) vs. T.J. Waldburger (15-6)
Ross Pearson (13-5) vs. Cub Swanson (16-5)
Preliminary Card (on Fuel TV):
Hatsu Hioki (26-4-2; #2 Featherweight) vs. Ricardo Lamas (11-2)
Rick Story (13-5) vs. Brock Jardine (9-1)
Ramsey Nijem (5-2) vs. C.J. Keith (8-0)
Steven Siler (20-9) vs. Joey Gambino (9-0)
Nick Catone (9-2) vs. Chris Camozzi (16-5)
Matt Brown (14-11) vs. Luis Ramos (19-7)
Preliminary Card (on Facebook):
Dan Miller (13-6) vs. Ricardo Funch (8-3)
Ken Stone (10-3) vs. Dustin Pague (8-2)
Kudos to Dustin Pague for pulling a Leben (not actually a bad thing here) and step up after fighting two weeks ago to take on Ken Stone.
Why on earth is the UFC putting Hikoi on the Fuel TV prelims? Either he wins or Lamas; who is one heck of an exciting fighter, puts on a great performance. Regardless you can't give a guy a title fight after he's been on a Fuel TV undercard that will be watched by around 100,000 people.
UFC 147 - Silva/Franklin II
Main Card (on Pay-Per-View):
Wanderlei Silva (34-11) vs. Rich Franklin (28-6)
Cezar Ferreira vs. Sergio Moraes
Godofredo Pepey vs. Rony Mariano Bezerra
Fabricio Werdum (15-5; #6 Heavyweight) vs. Mike Russow (15-1)
Yuri Alcantara (28-3) vs. Hacran Dias (20-1-1)
Preliminary Card (on FX):
Anistavio Medeiros vs. Rodrigo Damm
Delson Heleno vs. Francisco Denaldo
John Teixeira vs. Hugo Viana
Thiago Perpétuo vs. Leonardo Mafra
Preliminary Card (on Facebook):
Marcos Vanicius Borges Pancini vs. Wagner Campos
Felipe Arantes (14-4) vs. Milton Viera (13-7-1)
I am really looking forward to seeing the Alcantara/Dias fight. I am also intrigued to see if Russow can pull off a shocker; not banking on it though. This PPV will also crown the first winners of the TUF Brazil show.
