Ultimate Debut Patches - Road to 1000

Well had some computer problems over the last month but back up and operational. I have a bunch of debut patches in hand so some regular updates on the way.

Numbers 805, 806 and 807

2010-11 Ultimate Debut Patch Alexander Burmistrov - X3
This year had alot of really nice patches, and in particular Burmistrov. 5 color patches were very common for only 35 available cards. Picked these 3 up off COMC

Number 808

2011-12 Ultimate debut Patch Stephane Da Costa
Another year that had some spectacular patches. This year it was either the patch was great or one color.

2013-14 Ultimate Debut Patch Tanner Pearson
Another year with a big Patch window with really nice swatches available

2014-15 Ultimate debut Patch Damon Severson

This years set has a really nice looking design in my opinion. Large patch window and enough background design to make the swatch jump out of the card. I am still one card short completing this set as I need to find a Colin Smith to finish

Number 811

2017-18 Ultimate autographed debut patch Nikita Scherbak

This is a nice looking set but I would have preferred no auto and a patch window that was twice as big. I sort of quit collecting these debut patches when the autos started but I've slowly picked up cards from this set and now I'm sitting at 32 of 46 of the cards in the set. So I will look to complete this set at some point

Do they only do auto patches now? I remember back in the day they used to have both auto'd and non-auto'd versions. If that's the case, that definitely sucks.

Ya they only do the auto version now. And with the smaller patch window. I'm more a fan of the larger Patches. If the auto's were legible and added to the look of the card maybe I would have a different opinion. But a bigger multi-colored patch looks nicer then the scribbles we get for autos

2018-19 Ultimate Debut Autographed threads - This is another set I will likely never finish. I think I need 20 cards to finish but all the better ones. I have a hard time justifying paying the prices for some of them since I only paid $130 canadian for the Ovechkin back in 2005-06

2020-21 Ultimate debut thread autographed patch

Alex Belzile- Always been tough to find really nice Montreal patches but on such a small window these one is great

Arthur Kaliyev - #/49 instead of #/99. Not a huge fan of making the better players with half the print run. I would prefer the other way and make the crappy guys shorter to hold some value. The more expensive cards from 2005-06 were crappy players and super short print run and those are likely worth more than the Ovechkin
