Ultimate Level "A" autographs???

Hi,

Broke a case of 10-11 ultimate and was wondering what does Upper Deck or even collectors consider as a Level "A" autograph.

Would you consider them as HOF players like "Gretzky, Orr, Howe"
or know players like "Crosby, Ovechkin, Brodeur"
or Rookies like "Hall, Subban, Skinner"
or would it be auto jersey, auto patches of decent players or rookies

All the players you mentioned I would consider A autographs.

I wouldn't pigeonhole it to something like, "just Hall of Famers". For example, Mike Bossy is a Hall of Famer and not a bad pull but Taylor Hall is a much better pull.

I don't think there is any be-all and end-all criteria but for the most part, most people could agree on the top 10 or so autos.

Ok base on their selling points on D&A and what I open I didn't get one Level "A" signature auto.

Best I got is a Brodeur at level B so just talked to my LCS and send a question to UD so hopefully I get a reply back soon...

hold up. those odds are jsut for Ultimate signatures. Doesn't mean those odds ar ethe same for patch autos, etc. What were your big hits? Their collation should be pretty good based on their standards. Example. sure you might not agree Jumbo Joe is an A level auto, but they might and will make sure its a rare case hit. (Not saying jumbo joe is or isn't an A level, but rather that their collation is pretty spot on this year in terms of delivering what they promise)

The whole "Level A" auto selling point has bit them in the *** twice in the past in other sports, why they'd use it again is beyond me. There's many a case breaker who didn't even get a sniff of one much less three A Level autos.

Thats what I was trying to find out.
Was level "A" autographs base on every auto type card in their list or just the Ultimate Signatures.
I know Topps would group different player autos (big name and scrubs) in different levels and was wondering if UD did the same type.
IE a gretzky, orr was the same level as a Alex Plante or Kadri, etc.

kadri probably is level A because when they made the checklists, they thought he would be a stud... plante hope not... either way post your hits I'm sure there's at least 3 level A autos in there.

Wow that is tough... I can tell you the checklist is wrong though as Bobby Orr is not 1 in 8 sigs... I I had to guess it'd be Nino, Brodeur and insert plug...

the Group D autos are 1:8... with 10 autos in the group. that would make the odds of pulling an Orr 1:80 or so.

I did 8 packs of Ultimate and didn't get anything I would consider to have been group A... those last packs must have something decent in them then.

The initial product sheet of 3 level A's per case is incorrect.

The level A's are 1 in 125 packs, so approximately in in every 8-9 cases. I dont think this number is correct either, but who knows, maybe someone should call UD CS and find out the truth.

They have Crosby as a Level C? Ya right

If I had to guess, your 3 level A autos are Brodeur, Skinner & Subban

Might want to look at Auto'd Jerseys or Patches as being included in those groupings too. I would guess that any Auto RC/99 is probably part of it too.
