Unbelievable Upper Deck Response-What would you do?

Last night I got a polite answer to my question how's it possible there's live autos in new products while I have redemptions waiting for over a year:

"Tatu,

We do all we can to avoid using redemptions in our products. If an athlete will sign a new release or if we get autograph labels in from them, we use them for the newest products first to eliminate the use of redemptions in them. We are still pursuing Kimmo for the remaining signatures needed to complete these cards. I do not have an exact date when they will be acquired however. I appreciate your patience with this process.

Sincerely,

Chris Carlin
Sr. Customer Service & Call Center Manager
The Upper Deck Company"

Of course that was the answer I thought it would be...

Just another reason why I will never buy UD products ever again & I haven't since 2001!
There's a great book out there called "Card Sharks" "how upper deck turned a child's hobby into a high-stakes, billion doller business"
By Pete Williams
Published by: MACMILLAN
ISBN 0-02-629061-8

A great read & I can teel you this, that they've been doing this kind of stuff since the very beginning ever since Richard McWilliam took over the company!

I think far too many of you are just going to Upper Deck when you've got your concern like this. Quit sending them emails, and how about send MORE to the NHLPA about how badly UD is running their business? I've got the same defeatist attitude as the rest of you about how we may never see another licensee in the hockey card world, but an attempt at least needs to be made with the people who have control over who gets a license.

Regardless, a lot of you guys who have posted in this thread continue to purchase UD cards and products - I see it through the constant mail threads and box breaks. If you ACTUALLY want to do something about it, STOP buying the cards. That's the only way you are going to be able to send a message.

Go to your local law library and find the Canadian Law List. You'll find some interesting email addresses there.;)
