hey gang! was recently working on the database, and then came across these two types of cards:

The 91-92 has an italic font and no stats on the back like the normal 91-92 US/CAN versions. We were only given #'s up to 100.

And the World Junior Alumni cards, don't seem to come up anywhere.
Any info regarding these would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!

the 91-92 set was the Czech Juniors set, released by UD (in Czechoslovakia). Several boxes ended up making their way over to North America, similar to 94-95 Parkhurst II.

The set was huge when it came out and stayed hot in subsequent years, primarily for the Paul Kariya XRC, but several other stars are in there, including Tkachuk, Kovalev and Khabibulin.

The set, like any other early 90s issue, has deeply depreciated in value. A buddy of mine and I picked up a box at the Expo for $4, and got almost 2 full sets out of it plus a ton of dupes.

The set also had two Gretzky holograms, which mimicked the 91-92 regular inserts, except they were stickers.

The other set was released in '94 as a boxed series, I believe only at the WJC. Featuring WJC grads such as Kariya, the set is largely overlooked and can easily be had for 5 or less. In my days working on the Charlton I remember it and I'm pretty sure Beckett has it listed as well.
