So tonight is the big night for the lucky few that have found and redeemed the Upper Deck Quad Diamond Relic cards. Email from UD (and their Twitter) state that there are just 11 people in the draft tonight so the chances of an excellent card are very high.

The ping pong draw for position is being done on Breakers in roughly 3 hours time (~6 PST), and they are calling each person to get their picks down the list.

I'm still not 100% on my draft order, I guess I should get on that then. Is anyone else here participating tonight?

Rich

I hope you get the 1st overall pick, wouldn't that be incredible? For selfish reasons I hope you end up with Ryan Murray from the Jackets so I could hopefully pry it out of your hands, but truly I hope you get 1st pick and I would assume you would take MacKinnon? Just curious, if you end up in a top 5 slot, who would you take in order:

1.
2.
3.
4.
5.

And if not:

6.
7.
8.
9.
10.
11.

I've got my order set as:
1) Nathan MacKinnon
2) Alex Galchenyuk
3) Vladimir Tarasenko
4) Sean Monahan
5) Nail Yakupov
6) Aleksander Barkov
7) Tomas Hertl
8) Jonathan Huberdeau
9) Jacob Trouba
10 Valeri Nichushkin
And a tie @ 11)
Morgan Rielly (not really sure, just a leaf I can move)
J.T. Miller (seem to be building a side PC of him, why not)
Ryan Murray (local kid, and he's a Jacket. If I move it, you will get first dibs. :P )
Jonas Brodin (seems to be doing well, but wouldn't be a big money card)

Still have time to move things around so I'm open to opinions on what I've got there.

Rich

WOW, I wish I could be a part of that. Good luck man, hopefully you can get #1 and pick Nasty Nate.

Also, what happens with the redemption's that are pulled after the draft?

Hertl at #7? Behind Barkov? If you're planning on selling it, I'd move Trouba higher. Is Maatta on the list? If so, he sells like gold online

The top 7-8 will all land very valuable players. Then the Barkov, Huberdeau, Tarasenko, Rielly group.

1. MacKinnon
2. Galchenyuk
3. Nichushkin
4. Gallagher
5. Matta
6. Yakupov
7. Hertl
8. Monahan/Trouba

If we are talking sale value, here is my list

1. Mackinnon
2. Galchenyuk
3. Maatta
4. Trouba
5. Hertl
6. Nichushkin
7. Yakupov
8. Monahan
9. Gallagher
10. Tarasenko

That's pretty much how I'd do it. Granted, I'd let my heart lead the way and take whichever Habs player remained.

No Matta, which sucks. Guess the list was made when BD came out, before he was a sensation. I've updated my list as follows:
1) Nathan MacKinnon
2) Alex Galchenyuk
3) Sean Monahan
4) Brendan Gallagher
5) Nail Yakupov
6) Jacob Trouba
7) Valeri Nichushkin
8) Tomas Hertl
9) Jonathan Huberdeau
10) Morgan Rielly
11) Vladimir Tarasenko
11) Ryan Murray
11) J.T. Miller (may not really be on my list)

Remaining cards are:
Elias Lindholm
Cory Conacher
Justin Schultz
Mikael Granlund
Zemgus Girgensons
Jonas Brodin
Dougie Hamilton
Boone Jenner
Tyler Toffoli
Aleksander Barkov
Rasmus Ristolainen
Mikhail Grigorenko

Look better guys? And really, in the end, I'm just looking for the best card I guess. Not really a rookie card guy, but any of these will be sweet in the collection for at least a little while.

Also, I believe that the remaining redemption cards will get a random card from what is left.

I like your new list, just swapped Nish and Yak spots... and went deeper. Nice to get any, congrats and good luck!

2) Alex Galchenyuk
3) Sean Monahan
4) Brendan Gallagher
5) Valeri Nichushkin
6) Jacob Trouba
7) Nail Yakupov
8) Tomas Hertl
9) Jonathan Huberdeau
10) Morgan Rielly
11) Vladimir Tarasenko
12) Ryan Murray
13) Mikael Granlund
14) Aleksander Barkov
15) Dougie Hamilton
16) Boone Jenner
17) Justin Schultz

Good luck Rich, ypou are going to get a great card no matter what. I am hoping for you to get the #1 pick.

Good luck tonight Rich. Hopefully you get one of the top picks. We have a guy from our store participating as well. This is a pretty cool idea and hopefully it is utilized again down the road.

Good Luck, buddy! I think Yakupov has played himself off the list, no? Barkov will be a solid NHL guy if you get down to a later pick. Too bad about Maata, as his stuff goes like mad, and would have gave you one heck of a return if you were to sell. Honestly, I don't think you can make a bad pick, as these are such a special collectible. I heard they will have 4 one carat diaomonds in each card. Depending on the colour, and clarity, wouldn't that make these possibly a $10K item? Probably not high quality stones in these, but sweet none the less. Hoping for you to get a top 5 pick, bud!
