Upper Deck has got me Very Very Worried!

Well a few months back when Black had just come out I was able to purchase a card I really desired off the Bay...the only thing was, the card was a redemption. I bought a redemption for a dual marks of Obsidien Richards/Carter /10.. I have noticed a few of the /25 surface. My card has had the Athlete committed to signing BS since I redeemed it...I'm starting to sweat a bit now considering its been a few months.

:flyers:I only Collect Richards so getting any other card would be a waste for me. Anyone else experiencing this hassle my question is this: Do I call and find out WTF is going on?? I have heard of the UD horror stories before and considering how much I shelled out for that specific card I don't want to be stuck with a lemon.

Should I be proactive and phone let them know if the card is ever made I only take Richards cards??, or should I sit tight and see what happens since this is part of the process.

Unfortunately I only buy cards I want and don't bother ripping boxes open. I knew darn well that it was a gamble with a redemption...I have a bad feeling I'm going to be eating crow on this one.

Im in the same situation except with a zetterberg/lidstrom, i get the feeling it was a bad move purchasing a redemption card

Before you jump to any conclusions on your card I would call and find out as much as you can on the status of the card.

If you do indeed find out that your going to be playing the waiting game with UD then it will be time to rethink your position and contemplate asking for a replacement but specify that you will only accept certain cards be it only Richards or even cards that you may be able to flip to obtain the cards you want.

Redemption's are a huge gamble since UD seems to create cards on a whim these days. You may actually get something good...they have been handing out Gretzky lettermarks for scrubs.

just wait it out. it doesn't matter what you tell them as your preferences as we have all heard the stories of redemption horrors with a bonus football card thrown in the mix. if you've waited this long and you are seeing copies of the /25 floating about, i'd imagine the /10 isn't that far along behind it.

About 15 months ago, I dropped $300 on a redemption with a very low print run, and am still waiting for it to arrive. If I ever recieve it, I will be a happy camper...but Im starting to get worried myself with UD's ridiculous red. program

I redeemed the dual /25 and got it in 2 weeks. I dont know why the one /10 would take longer.

I think we are all a bit worried about the UD redemption program. I'm waiting on a Mahovlich/Ellis dual auto patch and I really want the card,nothing else.Best of luck to everyone with outstanding redemptions

I would wait. When Black first came out, I pulled a Iginla/Heatley dual auto jersey /15 redemption. It's been at "Athlete Commited to signing" until a few days ago. Its processing now
