Upper Deck LOSES NFL Card License

They have a collegiate license also. If done right I am sure there is some huge money to be made with this license.

I'm happy. Not that people will lose jobs, but happy that they got/will get what's coming to them.

Years or terrible customer service. Years of collectors asking them to make their products more tamper proof. Products that cost a weeks wages to purchase......etc

All falling of deaf ears as long as the money train was at full steam.

Well all I really have to say is....

Shove it in, twist it sideways and crack it off.

Good for ya.....

Too bad ITG didn't get a license.... At least they value input from collectors.

I think this is certainly Upper Decks Death Blow. They have lost or have to share almost all there licenses. Not to mention two failed lawsuits against them in the past year. There isn't anywhere else for them to go as a company. I cant see them go on for much longer at this point only producing NHL cards and college, and Minor League cards.

Well ITG only produces hockey and minor hockey and they're still around, I think maybe it was UD who said no, from what i've read the nfl wanted alot for the license and if a license cost's 5 mil and you only make 4 mil then why do it.

Itg are still around because they care about their products and their customers. As for UD saying no, I do not think that is correct. The current rumor is that UD has been late with payments.

Nobody likes to see people go out of work so hopefully any job cuts stemming from this are kept to a minimum. But in a sense I guess karma is catching up with UD pretty fast, they went from being the king of the hobby world and letting quality and customer service suffer to desperately clutching only a couple of licenses. Maybe now they'll understand what ITG has gone through for the last five years and actually make a conscious effort to improve, I don't think they have any other choice.

They do but it means going out of business

this sucks... Topps hasn't made a decent football card in over 20 years. And Panini? Child, please.

The football end of the hobby is in dire straits. At least I'll have more money for hockey boxes...
