Upper Deck Redemption Mail: Three Limited Logos!

I was pretty happy to see Nathan MacKinnon on the checklist for 2015-16 The Cup Limited Logos, however I was less happy when I found out Mack was a redemption.

Nevertheless, I was so excited for a game-worn MacKinnon Limited Logos that I broke a personal rule of mine - never buy a patch card sight unseen - and decided to take a chance by picking up not one but THREE redemptions for the card, with the hopes that UD would hook me up with at least one nice logo patch and I could move the others if I wanted to.

Well after around 4+ months the cards were fulfilled and I'm pretty happy with the haul!

In order of niceness:

38/50

23/50


And the nicest of the bunch:

06/50 :dance:


As a real stickler for patches I have to say UD really hit the spot by sending me all three copies with logo patches. I will be keeping 06/50 for sure and most likely 23/50 as well. The first copy, 38/50, might be available so if anybody is interested hit me up via PM before the card hits eBay tomorrow sometime.

After patch quality my next biggest concern with taking a chance on the redemptions was how clean the autos would turn out, and all three of these are clean, crisp, and well centered. I'm happy!

The last one is a really solid patch, center of "A". MacKinnon's signature is horrendous but, I will say, it hasn't deteriorated since his rookie year. Nice cards Kevin!

Yes Nate's signature has been pretty consistent even going back to his ITG cards, but a lot of them have a tendency to streak especially if he has a lot of room to sign a larger auto. The smaller area on these and a fresh pen made for some clean sigs.

As for the patch, there are a handful of spots on the Avs logo I hoped my patches would come from and that last copy was one of them. But if you can nab any swatch where the snow swoops around the "A" you're going to have a nice patch. The Avs colors work really well together especially when you can get them all into one swatch.

Thanks Richard! Yeah it's a gamble buying patch cards blind and it's the first time I've ever done it because I am very fussy when it comes to patches. The first live copy appeared on eBay over the weekend with a "meh" patch on it so I was anxious for mine to arrive so I could see how the gamble worked out. Having three copies coming definitely helped my chances
