Upper Deck Redemption Replacement

I haven't done a redemption from Upper Deck in a long time and actually hadn't checked Upper Deck for a while about the final one I had remaining. Since I am a set collector I had sent a redemption in for the 2016-17 SOTT Dual Auto of Pavel Bure and Trevor Linden /25. The redemption was sent in September of 2017 and this card is one of 3 that I need from the SOTT set. I received a call asking me my current address earlier in December and received the following 2 cards in the mail.





I think the cards are better then the original card but don't help complete the set!

I think in a way it helps as it probably means the card is not being made so you are now down to needing 2!!!

Well done! And isn't Bure returning some older cards from way back recently? (Including one with Linden, although from a different product) So there still could be hope after all! In the meantime, nice replacements.

Great cards, but since you didn’t request the replacement, would you have a case that they still owe you the original card?

I think “value wise” this was a win, but in terms of your PC and the reason you redeemed the card it is a loss.

Magic, the Linden/Bure/McLean was never listed in the 2016-17 UD Black Penmanship group. The card is one of those unicorns for collectors

And as for the 16/17 dual SOTT with Linden and Bure…..two have shown up on eBay in the last couple weeks. That card does exist.

Further to umpian’s interest in the triple auto. I’ve known Ian for years. He is a dedicated Linden collector and someone I would vouch for instantly. To see that he signed up to HI just to post on this thread says everything about his excitement level on the card.

I believe he was a HI member years ago. It may show as a new member…but he’s someone I trust unquestionably in this hobby.
