Upper Deck Redemption Replacements

I got tired of waiting and finally asked Upper Deck to replace eight old redemptions. One was an Exquisite Larkin auto and then the best one as UD Masterpiece Sidney Crosby auto what will not be fulfilled. Others were a couple FWA and an Ultimate patch auto of Mikko numbered to 10 finally a couple Premier rookie autos

I had asked that this card be replaced along with an OPC Nick Shore auto and actually got both in, interesting



Here is what I got in as my replacements.

Upper Deck has sent me these exact three same cards last year as a replacements from other redemption exchanges.

And for my Masterpieces Crosby auto I got this



The card is from 2010 SPA BASKETBALL, It nice to get a Crosby for a Crosby but for my dollar, I wish it had been from a hockey product and not from a totally different sport..

At least all of these old redemptions are off my list. Good to be gone!

Nice replacements overall.

The Crosby almost looks like it comes from a North Carolina basketball uniform with those colors. Very retro MJ.

I pulled a pastrnak FWA redemption at Xmas and redeemed it....still waiting for it...says instock and will ship soon...that's was 2 months ago, weird theyre being sent out as replacements...

That is a great question and wish I knew the actual answer. I did some research and found this as the checklist

Crosby is the ONLY non basketball player in the product.

Wish I knew why, but as a guess, I would say because maybe UD at that time signed him as spokesman or somethign like.

Could be same reasoning as the Cup tribute cards with the b-ball, football and baseball players in them. Expanding interest through the different sports.
I owned 2 Crosby Sweet spot baseball cards. Baseball skin autographed /5.
