Upper Deck Redemption Roulette

Well, it's officially been 9 months since I redeemed the following two redemption cards online:

Paul Coffey - 04/05 UD Legends Classics - Classic Signatures SP!

Coffey/Murphy/Bourque - 04/05 UD Legends Classics Triple Signature /25

Just called Upper Deck and they still don't have any update on Paul Coffey's signing status.

The customer service rep offered me the chance to "swap" these for warehouse stock. He told me to provide 5 player names and they will send me something "comparable" from stock.

Now, I don't believe either of these cards have a book value since hardly any of them hit the marketplace... and both are limited short prints. So I don't know what they would consider "comparable" stock.

I am scared because I see some people get junky stock and others get Gretzky dual jersey autographs.

You make the call. . .
Should I swap one or both of these cards? What would you provide as the list of preferences?

Anything they send you from the above will be better than the Coffey trade wise or sell wise.. At least that's my opinon whenever I opt out I feel I get better stuff..

would you mind stopping by and asking him for my cards? I sent a couple for him to sign months ago when everyone else was getting success in like 2 weeks. Plus I made sure not to include any red wings cards in there

I would vote to hold out for coffey...they could end up being more limited. How many people are going to wait out or take the five comparable picks? You should request that upper deck give you a comparable card for waiting this long and the Coffey card2 when it becomes available. No one should have to wait this long for card. my two cents

How about you put 4 guys that don't have a contract with UD and then the fifth name put Gretzky, they might just see the Gretz and send one over as they can't seem to find the other names in stock. Throw the puck back in their hands!

Jason, I feel your pain. I was just on my redemption page and I almost threw up un my keyboard thinking about all the great cards or cash I have sitting on the screen. I have to agree there is a lot of risk associated with taking the replacements, but at least it's something. I agree with the player selection from above, but you may want to throw Messier on the list since he is so hot on the bay, and you can always send 'em to GA. Mike

Well, I called up and requested a replacement on the Paul Coffey single... not the Triple.

This representative only asked me for 3 names. I gave him:

Patrick Roy
Wayne Gretzky
Bobby Orr

I told him to mark down that I am only interested in an autograph in replacement.

We shall see what this yields.
