First off, let me apologize for the lack of scans, but for some reason I still can't get photobucket to upload them -- I really need to get that figured out. That said, this product is definitely a fun break ... with lots of good hits. Even better, it's time I get to spend with my teenage (soon to be off to college) daughter talking about hockey and some of the players we pulled.

Here's what my luck brought me:

Upper Deck Series 2 Jerseys (1:24 packs)
GJ2-BD Brandon Dubinsky (White)
GJ2-CG Claude Giroux (White)
GJ2-CO Colton Orr (Blue)
GJ2-CP Carey Price (Red)
GJ2-DD Drew Doughty (Black)
GJ2-DH Dany Heatley (Black)
GJ2-GL Georges Laracque (Red)
GJ2-JT John Tavares (Blue)
GJ2-MB Martin Brodeur (Black)
GJ2-NB Nicklas Backstrom (White)
GJ2-NL Nicklas Lidstrom (Red)
GJ2-RG Ryan Getzlaf (Orange)

Nice change of pace with these jerseys ... nice to see for a change that there weren't any 'scrubs' in the entire batch - even Orr and Laracque aren't bad considering there are lots of fans of the tough guys.

Upper Deck Rookie Materials (1:24 packs)
RM-AK Arturs Kulda (Blue)
RM-AL Anders Lindback (Blue)
RM-DS Derek Stepan (White)
RM-DT Dustin Tokarski (Black)
RM-JO Jordan Caron (Yellow)
RM-KP Kyle Palmieri (Black)
RM-KS Kevin Shattenkirk (Blue)
RM-MO Mark Olver (Maroon)
RM-MP Magnus Paajarvi (50% Blue / 50% White)
RM-MS Marco Scandella (Red)
RM-PS P.K. Subban (Red)
RM-SB Sergei Bobrovsky (Orange)

Great pull on the two-color Paajarvi ... nice mix here with some good young players.

Upper Deck Game Jersey PATCH (# to 15)
GJ2-CG Claude Giroux (#08/15) -- Mostly White patch with lots of stitching and a touch of orange with stitching

Definitely nice to pull a patch ... even if it had to be a Flyer :(

Upper Deck Exclusives (1:48 packs)
251 Teemu Selanne (#040/100)
273 Craig Rivet (#088/100)
280 Robyn Regehr (#001/100)
290 Patrick Sharp (#045/100)
303 Anton Stralman (#024/100)
310 Steve Ott (#001/100)
325 Zack Stortini (#028/100)
345 Cam Barker (#068/100)
364 Jason Arnott (#026/100)
370 Henrik Tallinder (#049/100)
391 Sergei Gonchar (#034/100)
393 James van Riemsdyk (#019/100)
410 Evgeni Malkin (#070/100)
447 Mike Knuble (#032/100)

Upper Deck Young Guns Exclusives (1:48 packs)
469 Nate Prosser (#034/100)
478 Alexander Vasyunov (#054/100)
482 Nino Niederreiter (#006/100)

I definitely pulled these at a much higher rate than the 1:48 advertised with at least 1 per box and sometimes two. Pretty ho-hum on the player selection however.

Upper Deck Young Guns Rookies (1:4 packs)
Got at least one copy of all 50, including 2 Seguin, 2 Shattenkirk, 2 Paajarvi, 2 Niederreiter, 2 Grachev, and 2 Lehner.

Overall, the 'name-value' of the Young Guns in Series 2 isn't quite up to par with Series 1, but there are definitely still some solid young stars here. And by the way, is there anyone playing for the Devils that isn't a Rookie? There have to be six or seven different Devils with Young Guns in Series 2 alone.

UD Victory Update Rookies (1:3 packs)
At least two, and in most cases three copies of everyone in the set ... collation of these was definitely good. Nice to see it includes cards of all the top guys like Hall, Skinner, Paajarvi, Bobrovsky, Schenn, Eberle, Fowler, and Seguin

UD Victory Update GOLD (1:24 packs)
257 Ethan Moreau
262 Jason Arnott
271 Dan Hamhuis
272 Keith Ballard
274 Matt Hunwick
275 Nikolay Zherdev
280 Matthew Lombardi
282 Alexander Frolov
284 Anton Volchenkov
288 Alex Tanguay
294 Pavel Kubina
296 Lars Eller

Player selection for the update is definitely limited, and while it's nice to have an extra pull in each box, it was tough getting excited about these.

UD Victory Update GOLD Rookie Cards (1:24 packs)
305 Travis Hamonic
311 Marco Scandella
313 Ryan Reaves
314 Mike Moore
320 Anders Lindback
322 Jake Muzzin
332 Alexander Vasyunov
334 Alexander Urbom
338 Brian Fahey
346 Jonas Holos
347 Mark Olver
350 Taylor Hall :)

Again, nice to get the extra pull, maybe I would have been a little more excited if I had gotten more than one or two guys that I've ever heard of.

UD Victory Update BLACK (1:288 packs)
285 Jaroslav Halak

UD Victory Update BLACK Rookie Card (1:288 packs)
312 Alexander Burmistrov

At 1 per case, these are definitely a tough pull ... can't say I got the best players, but could have definitely been worse. Wonder how many copies these might be limited to ...

Upper Deck Hockey Heroes BOBBY ORR (1:12 packs)
3 copies of nearly all of the regular cards + the header card. Sadly, no Art card :(

Upper Deck 20th Anniversary Retro Parallels (1:5 packs)
Total of 60 different regular card parallels -- Cullen, Murray, Perron, Wisniewski, Backlund, Belanger, Weight, Klesla, Ovechkin, Thornton, Bouchard, Tallinder, Reinprecht, Hamrlik, Fehr, Vanek, Hejduk, Leopold, Getzlaf, Armstrong, Carcillo, Ribiero, Turco, Lapierre, Ballard, Rolston, Phillips, Williams, Sopel, Staal, Jovanovski, Gleason, Kunitz, Bieksa, O'Reilly, Bernier, Koivu, Foster, Chara, Kronwall, Stastny, Quincey, Lombardi, Dvorak, Beleskey, Ott, Gagner, Niemi, Plekanec, Pronger, Kopitar, Lidstrom, Gagne, Gustavsson, Voracek, Simmonds, Carter, Howard, Gonchar, Checklist

Overall, I really love the look of this set. Takes me back in time with the look and I don't even mind the thinner stock. On top of that, I definitely got a good mix of decent players.

Upper Deck 20th Anniversary Retro Rookie Card Parallels (1:48 packs)
466 Magnus Paajarvi
472 Mark Dekanich
474 Olivier Magnan-Grenier
483 Matt Zaba
485 Robin Lehner
486 Linus Omark

Really like the look of these as well ... and nice to pull a couple nice ones. :)

Upper Deck 20th Anniversary Retro Retired Stars Parallels (1:96 packs)
503 Gordie Howe
510 Bobby Clarke

Upper Deck 20th Anniversary Retro Award Winners Parallels (1:267 packs)
525 Henrik Sedin - Art Ross
528 Pavel Datsyuk - Selke

Upper Deck 20th Anniversary Retro All-Rookie Team Parallels (1:400 packs)
535 John Tavares

Upper Deck 20th Anniversary Retro Canadian World Juniors (1:240 packs)
540 Travis Hamonic

I like how they added to the 20th Anniversary set and added these subset cards similar to those in the Original Upper Deck release. Looks like I missed the odds on the Retired Stars, but picked up an extra on the Award Winners. Can't go wrong with the Tavares either :)

Upper Deck Buybacks (no odds listed)
I pulled an 07-08 Black Diamond Ruby Jersey of Peter Forsberg #012/100. They include a "Buyback Certificate" with the card, but considering the card looks exactly the same as the ones issued originally, what's the point. On top of it all, this card looks like it's been through some wars - the edges are chipped all over the place and even the corners are roughed up. What a shame :(

Upper Deck Signatures (1:288 packs)
UDS-DS Drew Stafford

For a case hit, kind of disappointing to pull a sticker auto of a marginal player like Stafford, but I'm sure someone out there would love to have it in their collection.

Upper Deck Acetate Rookie Breakouts Die-Cuts (1:288 packs)
RB16 Brayden Schenn (#049/100)
RB18 P.K. Subban (#035/100)

I must admit that these are really sharp looking cards. They take me back to the 'creative days of the late 90's when die-cutting and acetate were all the rage. What made it even better was seeing my daughter admit that the card looked really cool even though the player sucked (P.K. Subban) -- Jordan Staal happens to be one of her favorite players ... lol. Even better I beat the odds and pulled two of these beauties. :)

Last, but not least (depending on how you look at it) ...

Upper Deck Press Plates (1:648 packs)
MAGENTA PLATE -- #453 Kyle Palmieri

While the player leaves something to be desired, this was actually a very exciting pull for me. As hard as it may be to believe with the abundance of 1:1's and Press Plates out there, this is the absolute first time that I have ever pulled a 1:1 or Press Plate from a pack.

Overall, fun break. Got all of the cards that I needed for my collection so mission accomplished there.

Thanks for the look. Everything is available ... would prefer to sell, unless you've got something on my ever-shrinking wantlist (somewhat recent lists can be found if you dig back on the Trading and Buy/Sell sections). If something interests you, feel free to shoot me a PM with an offer -- like I said above - daughter's off to college soon so I can definitely use the $$. Those of you that have been there know what I'm talking about :)

Nice break Dave. UD2 is a good time this year. I've done
5 cases so far. Case 5 ended with an Orr auto retro version.
