So I've read here several times that people pay for items through paypal using their credit card as an added layer of protection from fraudulent sellers.

Well, I purchased 3 cards on eBay off someone with 0 feedback (about $50 total) and put it on my credit card. It's been less than a month but the seller lives in the same city as me, and usually within county lines, mail is almost overnight or 2 days MAX. Needless to say, I haven't gotten squat yet and the seller isn't responding to emails. Today I see he has a negative FB from someone else who bought from him on the same day as me stating "took my money and ran".

How would I go about getting my money back? Should I even bother with PP or do I contact Visa/Bank of America or what? Can I even begin filing a claim with eBay since it's been a little less than 30 days?

Any help is appreciated.

File a claim with Paypal and with Ebay Buyer Protection as well.
At the same time - when you pay your CC bill put the itme in dispute - paying for everything except that item.

You would have to check with your CC company - but some do not cover Internet Fraud
after you have paid your credit card bill with that item in full. Best to call them and make sure.

File a claim through Paypal first. You'll probably be successful, but if for whatever reason you're not, then call you CC company. You shouldn't have any trouble winning the dispute. However, be sure to pay your bill in full so that you don't acrue interest charges.
Sorry to be nitpicky, but this isn't a case of fraud, Internet or otherwise. You willing used your credit card, no one stole the information. You'd have a dispute to resolve, but there's no credit card fraud here.
Sorry about that. I used to work for a credit card company and the distinction is important for those poor souls working there.

You really should give ebay/paypal a chance to resolve it. Wouldn't give them too long though before I went to the credit card company.
