So I buy cards from time to time using COMC.com. I had a few cards ready to ship so I requested shipping. The cards I requested are all personal cards that I collect. A few were multi-colored legendary legends, a multi-colored 98-99 UD game jersey, and best of all the very rare 02-03 Fleer throwbacks Tony Twist TIE-DOWN! MULTI-COLORED!!!

After a week I started to get nervous. Checked the tracking and it said it went to dead mail! What the hell does that mean! I contacted the post office and was told that the package was either destroyed, or the contents were missing from the box, or the address got damaged. I felt sick. They made it seem like it was COMC fault. They couldn't give me anymore info, and when I contacted COMC's they really were no help either. They blamed USPS. I told a lady exactly what cards were missing and she said if they show up, I'll get a call. I also filled out a form to be sent to dead mail recovery in Atlanta GA. They said anything recovered would be sent there. I just don't understand how it was scanned at the post office, which had my info, yet no one called me about it. I had to initiate everything.

I just figured the cards were gone. A couple weeks go by and I get a phone call. It was the lady from the local post office. She said she found three of the 7 cards. I told her there's only one card I really care about, the st. louis blues Tony Twist card. She kinda sighed, so I think damn. She goes on to tell me the three cards butchering the names. Andrei Nazarov and Brad Brown, Jarri Kurri, and hey it's the Tony Twist card. YESSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!! I don't know if she was messing with me before, but she had me believe that the Twist card was not the one she found. It was shipped to me Priority and it is now in my possession. It would be nice to get the other four cards but I'm still happy.

Wow - that is an odd deal - it would be interesting to see what actually happened to your original packages. Glad to hear you got the real treasure back though - congrats on that pickup!

You should try to contact Moe at COMC, and see what he can do to make this right with you. I am shocked that they just tried to pass the buck, or blame onto the post office regardless who's fault it is. You shouldn't be the one that has to fight to get what you are owed. You made a deal with COMC, and it is their responsibility to make sure your purchase arrives safely, and if it doesn't, they should be the one's dealing with the issue. I have to think that you must have been dealing with someone new, or clueless to pass blame onto their shipper. If that is how they are gonna handle situations like this, I doubt they'll be in business long. Hopefully, they'll see straight, and assist you in making this right. You didn't get everything that you paid for. You shouldn't settle for just getting some of it. That isn't right.

let's see a pic of the Twist. always up for a nice Twister.

Better yet, send a picture of the Twist to Todd Mcfarlane of Spawn Toys. For those of you who don't know that story, Mcfarlane used the name Anthonio Twistella (or something close to that) in one of his comic book stories, and Tony Twist sued him, and ended up winning a settlement of $5 million bucks. That's a paraphrase of the story, but I'm sure it's out there if you google it.

They gave me my money back, they just didn't want to help investigate the situation. I had to do all the work. Also they didn't even send the cards in plastic holders. oh well.

Really........now that we have pissed of everyone in the card industry lets go annoy someone else that used to make hockey figures......joke or not this stupidity needs to end. Imagine someone you don't know messaging you about something you have nothing to do with other then you had a lawsuit/settlement with the person depicted in the picture. :|:|:|:|

Hope the other cards show up.

Todd Mcfarlane is a huge dink who doesn't care about his customers, PERIOD! For the record he is no longer making NHL figures, because nobody wanted to buy the same crappy ones that they kept pumping out series after series. The quality has been suffering for years, and he didn't care as it was all about the money. Also, they had a message board just like this one, but way busier, and he just up, and shut it down on the thousands of members that had been their since 1999. Many of us have a reason to be a dink towards him. He slapped his loyal customers in the face. When success goes to someone's head, and you treat your employees, and customers like crap, people like me have no problem rubbing it in when it all comes back to bite you in the arse.

Yes, it was a joke, but before you start painting a picture about someone, make sure you know the facts first. Yes, the lawsuit was unfortunate for him, but in the end, karma got this idiot what he deserved. I have a right to voice my opinion on this company, because I purchased over 500 of his figures over a 12 year term. Lots more to the story, but I don't feel like explaining myself to someone who has no idea on the subject.

Getting back on topic, COMC's handling of this situation was horrible. At least you got your money back, but if that is how they are conducting business, then that's a shame, as I really thought they were on to something big.

What I was saying was a blanket comment of "we got to quit trying to call out these executives" cause they are getting pissed of and leaving. Dr. Price has left for now. People keep annoying Chris and if it keeps happening he is not going to be around here either. Do you think maybe MacFarlane closed his forum cause people with too much time and an opinion that is worth more then his, hassle the hell out of them???? All companies and people have problems, no one is perfect, but having people telling them they suck or they will not buy anymore of their garbage product will not help getting your problem fixed. Attract more bees with honey.... I for one am looking at buying more hockey MacFarlane figures. I think that some of the poses got redundant and so did the player selection. I also think the whole 3 pieced(body and legs) ones suck cause they are a ***** to put together. Just so you know I have purchased a good amount of the hockey figures 50-80.

I was not painting a picture about you but a picture about the self entitled, now, now , now, me, me, me generation that seems to be going on right now. If you have something personal against someone deal with them instead of trying to gather more people to fight the evil company or person.

Just curious, but what else would COMC be expected to do in this situation? If USPS mangled the package (as was indicated by USPS tracking), the situation is out of COMC's control. From what the OP posted it sounded like USPS admitted they themselves were responsible for the damage. COMC offered a refund, which (assuming the cards were not insured), rendered a loss for themselves. I'm just not sure what else COMC could be expected to do in this situation.

I left a big detail out of the story. Apparently it was mangled by the USPS, but they claimed that the addresses were not adhered correctly (peeled off? smudged?) IDK. I blame USPS the most, it was just frustrating that COMC didn't want to investigate. I did use a service provided by them. Yes they gave me a refund, but the cards were the most important part. They just seemed lazy. They both played the blame game, but USPS actually tried to help.

The twist looks awesome and the drop of the gloves look so cool. Thanks for showing them and what a great set name.

They are 100% responsible to make sure the buyer gets the cards he paid for. Something obviously happened to them along the way, yet by the sounds of it, unless I'm misinturpreting the original post, COMC didn't really want to deal with it. They chose the shipper, therefore it should be them dealing with this situation with USPS, not the buyer. If you sold something to a member here, and it went missing, or got damaged, and you pulled that same crap you'd probably be crucified by the members here, and possibly even banned from the site for passing the blame, and not fixing the problem. This is no different. It all worked out in the end, but point being it was because the buyer had to initiate everything, or so he says. Why wouldn't COMC want to help him straighten out the problem anyways? Makes no sense? They paid for insurance, so they aren't gonna be out anything. Maybe, I'm different than most people, but regardless, I would never blow off an unhappy customer? So, they gave him back his money? Big deal. He's obviously still not happy with the way this played out, or he wouldn't have posted this here in the first place. It's also possible he was rude to them when he called about it, so who knows? We only have one side of the story. At least he ended up with the most important card of the lot. Could have been worse? If what I bolded in the quote below is true, then they should be ashamed at how they handled it, is all I`m saying. Would love to hear their side of the story. Maybe they have a totally different version of how it went down, lol? I`ve already said too much on this subject. I`m done here.
