I just found out from Dale that both Pavel and Valeri Bure will be signing at the Vancouver Fanfest 2013 on Saturday November 2nd. More autograph guests will be announced daily leading up to the show in two weeks. Auto prices for Pavel bure will cost $94 for any item and Valeri Bure's auto will cost $15 for any items. Each signing proceeds go to different local charities. Also according to the Bossa show Facebook page Kirk McLean is also on board signing once again.

Damn, im owed a weeks holidays from work, i may have to make my way down to Vancouver for my first card show in close to 10 years...

What time do the autograph sessions normally happen? I have to make sure not to be there lest I vomit Family Guy style.

How long can Randy stretch out a plate of pancakes at Ricky's? 6-7 hours?

Credit where credit is due. Bure is the best signing Dale's scored for this show since Trevor Linden a couple years ago, and maybe the best for this market ever. Perfect timing given that he's in town for the jersey retirement and if Dale specifically moved the show to November 2nd just to get Bure, no complaints from me.

I don't know if it will get more vendors or sell more tables, but this is the best possible move he could've made for this show to generate local interest.

Whether you like him or don't like him, this is huge news for a show that really needed it imo. Granted, it's also good to see a notable new release like the Cup leading into this show from a product point of view.

But the only downside is that the announcement is coming out rather late; hopefully this will help push some new vendor sign-ups.
 
It was a pretty solid lineup last year at the Fanfest I thought - I didn't get any of the autos and there was no one as big as Bure however Kesler and Moon were both pretty good draws it looked like.

I don't even know what the song is about...I just break out laughing every time I hear the chorus of the song and how high pitched everybody was singing it when we heard it for the 87th time that day. :laugh:

Did anybody find out if Candace Cameron is going to be there at the signing too since we know she'll be at the game that night? I would legit go out and buy the first season of Full House just to have her sign it.

call Dale and ask him. I have been in contact with him a couple times this week and he still has a couple more people signing at the event.
 
Is there any chance anyone might be able to help out with a Valeri Bure autograph? In need of one for a project I am working on
 
This is really weird, but my wife and I are trimming down the size of our DVD collection with baby on the way, and have around 300 or so sitting in boxes. It's everything from movies to TV seasons, and everything in between. Just stuff we've watched already, or duplicates from before the two of us moved in. I think the first season of McGyver is in there too lol.

I'm going to bring them to the show on Saturday and if anybody's interested in taking a peek for their own collections, find me. I don't want much for them...maybe like a buck for the movies, and maybe a few bucks for the TV seasons.

Lu (paulyen) gets first crack at the stuff since we chatted about it before and then anybody else is welcome to whatever's there :)

This thread is the closest thing I have found to a roll call for this show?! :duh:

Considering it is in two days... do we start that now? Or is this a sign that no one is going to this thing?

And I won't be able to buy all of Matt's DVDs... so make sure someone else is here too... so I don't have all the pressure of buying them all off of him! ;) haha

Anyone able to help Tim to get a Bure auto on a Kings' puck? I was trying to make it but wife is sick so I'm looking after the kids.

I'm willing to give some extra compensation in addition to Tim's offer, if someone helps him.
