Well it only took me a week of work to have a bit of time to sit and scan. Unfortunately, it's at the expense of watching the UFC event (despite having 2 standing invitations to watch, one of which I bailed out on last minute,) but I'm just so exhausted right now that I can't think of doing anything else but sitting at home tonight and relaxing.
So here's what I picked up at the Vancouver show...
First up, when 1972 was released, I figured I'd try to grab all the Canucks autos out of it. Through confirmation with the grand wizard of hobby knowledge Kevin (kmitchel,) I found out there were only 4 to chase, which was perfect since I had 4 empty spots on my sport card frame following the Franchises Canucks set completion.
Easy task made easier because AJ and his dad had all 4 at their table, so I killed the team set with one fell swoop:
ITG 1972: The Year in Hockey Autographs of Andre Boudrias, Don Lever, Bobby Schmautz and Dunc Wilson (NFT)
Nice looking design...I managed to keep myself from busting any wax at the show this weekend, though this was the only box that tempted me.
Next up, a not too shabby Nate Gerbe Cup Auto Gold /42. This one's not available because it's already going to a new home in Edmonton to Marcel (Mack)
Everything under this scan will be available once my work schedule's a bit cleared up.
I saw this sitting at a table and couldn't resist since I know there are a few of his fans here. You can't see the back, but I assure you it's blank:

Next up, a card from a popular, yet tough insert set...
2008-09 Montreal Centennial Hall of Fame Auto Bob Gainey /92
...and another. This one limited to 9 copies, and a multicolor swatch to boot!
2008-09 Between the Pipes Tony Esposito Auto/Jersey Silver /9
A nice Cup auto of one of the greatest...
2008-09 The Cup Chirography Patrick Roy /50
and a couple nice patches to close out the show. The seller of the Gainey also sold me a Lecavalier auto for Gordon's (Shaboobala) PC, a Bernie Parent auto for Joe's (timber09) dad's PC and this beaut. I don't normally get Wild players, but the patch was too nice to pass up...
2005-06 SP Authentic Future Watch Limited Derek Boogaard /100
Lastly...a patch that was seen in a Cup tin break in Gordon's thread last week, so the legitimacy isn't even a question...a nice piece from the Golden Jet himself...

I don't go
when I see many cards these days, but the patch on this was too outstanding to leave behind without saying I owned it at one point.
