I am really steaming mad right now.

Several weeks ago, I used a BIN on THIS item sold by Broydeur. I paid shortly thereafter with Paypal and even included $13.99 for Expresspost shipping.

Well, three weeks have gone by and I don't have a card (or tracking number) to show for it.

I have been e-mailing the seller since last week. I have got ZERO responses.

Upon advice of another respected member here, I just went ahead and filed a Paypal chargeback yesterday. . . as a means to either get my money back or at least garner a response from the seller.

Well, today the seller filed a NPBA alert on eBay against me. Nice of him to take the time to file a NPBA alert and NOT answer any of my e-mails. I also noticed he got 2 recent negatives for "non-responsiveness." :(

This is so bogus. If eBay owns Paypal, then they shouldn't let a seller file a NPBA against someone who paid with Paypal.

Sorry for the rant. I just wanted to warn everyone out there about this seller's poor business practices. . . starting with communication.

Thanks for the heads up.

I had a NPBA filed against me yesterday (30th) from a different seller. Sent payment out on the 23rd (Canada to US).

Really, Broydeur? I ask since I remember Q saying he (or someone very similar in Quebec) was a great seller. Apparently, Broydeur buys Brodeur and is quite a high end collector. I even saw Broydeur himself at the show this past November. ****s, Jay. I hope it gets resolved all squeaky clean-ish :D

Lmk if I can help in any way.

This does suprise me as well.
Have dealt with him a couple of times - never a problem.
Shame when people decide not to communicate - this could easily be taken care of.

Will ebay remove a negative or even a NPB strike - since you can prove that you did pay via Paypal??? Or will they pull an ostrich????

Bruce

I think it could possibly be he realized he priced the card low and is willing to take a negative so he can re-sell the thing at a higher price.
Dealt with Broydeur only once on ebay. He hit the BIN on a brodeur auto/jersey out of 10 I had and took 3 weeks to pay me by paypal. I would have hammered him with a non paying bidder but his feedback kept me from doing so.

Wes/Bruce - Yes, it did surprise me as well. I gave him the benefit of the doubt based on his good standing. However, lack of response to like 15 e-mails is inexcusable for any seller. Take my money and ignore me?!?

Sadly, I'm in agreement with Trevor. I think he had regrets about the BIN after I hit it. It seems this seller is well off financially based on his spending habits... so to shaft me on a $200 transaction is pathetic.

Mike - I already filed the Paypal chargeback.

Guess I'm more disappointed since I really want that card. :(

Guys... I need some help. I requested Broydeur's contact information through eBay. Unfortunately, they are in Quebec and the person on the phone was speaking French. Sadly, this New Yorker does not.

Perhaps that is why the person has not answered my e-mails?!?

If someone up north can help me out, then I'd greatly appreciate it.

Jason, I would be glad to help, but I can barely speak English.:o Mike

Illiterate! ;) :D

Jay - best bet is to contact Q imo for this. He would know what to do, and speaks more languages than numbers I can count (I think 5 or something)

Best of luck

I had the same problem with the guy in Germany I got my KLM card from.

I just filed on Ebay safe harbor as well as paypal and pretty much harrassed him it took over two months to get the card but I did get it.

I agree because he filed NPB against me and Ebay had to have known I paid and Ebay did about jack nothing.

Thanks
Ken

That guy speaks english, pretending to just speak french is BS, you can't do that much business in the card industry and not speak a lick of English, especially with that guys reputation.

For him to give you the run around on this card is ridiculous.
Sure he undersold it, but whatever, don't like it, don't set the BIN.

You can get rid of NPB's, you just have to send the appropriate digital paperwork to the right people.
there should be an address on the NPB you had filed against you.
I had one removed from me from a seller who didn't feel like taking it off well after they got their money.
I sent in proof that I had paid, and they agreed with me and removed the strike.

That's major BS though.
to not communicate at all for that amount of time on a high dollar card, and then throw a strike when you go ahead and get the money back, such BS.

That's the problem. I have NOT got my money back yet.

all you need to do is respond to the NPB on ebay saying you paid. It will ask you for the paypal info and there should be a transaction # you can type in.
Good Luck.

I am having the exact same problem with a beckett marketplace seller. I buy the item and pay. It was a huge steal and now I'm trying to get my money back because he has not replied to many emails and I do not have the card. If paypal doesn't help me there is always plan B...Simply buy another card of similar value of his cards (under an alternate account) get it and then file a chargeback and get the money back. If they want to play dirty so can we! Some people deserve this!

Wow, that makes you no better than the seller. Or maybe worse, since you have no idea why you don't have the card (there is the possibility it is an honest mistake), and you will consciously set out to rip someone off for something else.

Well I should outline more of the story. The person said they didn't have the card and that they would fix the problem. That was the only response I have gotten from them...All the other follow up emails I sent went unanswered. Does it seem fair to you that he has my money when clearly he did not send the card since he didnt have it? I don't know about you but I work hard for my money and when a seller is clearly trying to take your money or rip you off you have to do something about it. Mistakes happen and I have no problem if the guy said here's the money back I don't have the card or here's another card of similar value. When you spend money on a card you wanted and it's a big portion of your monthly alloted spending it's a big deal and the other party shouldn't get away with it!

Jay,
That's too bad to hear. I always thought he was a good person to deal with. He was the buyer of my BAP Lecavalier redemption that was found to be redeemed by the twit that traded it to me. He was very easy to deal with and communicated very well with me. Good luck with this mess!

Mike

Broydeur/Denis did a fairly big dollar deal with me in person at Expo. He speaks English, albeit badly. Not so dissimilar from my French.

For now, I suggest letting things unfold via the eBay system. That NPB will evaporate the moment you supply the PayPal transaction id.

Just to give everyone an update on this situation. . .

I actually received the Beliveau card in the mail today. That in itself is a BIG relief. The package is indeed postmarked December 21st... a mere 2 weeks after I had sent payment. Then, to top it off, you realize that he NPBA'd me on December 31st... 10 days AFTER he mailed the card.

Since I originally posted this thread, I had been in contact with JF Allan from Beckett (no snide remarks please). He offered to give Denis Angers a call and explain the situation on my behalf. Well, to add insult to injury... the phone number Broydeur has listed on eBay isn't even correct! There was indeed a french speaking lady at that number... but she was not the seller nor did she know Denis Angers.

So let's recap this HORRIBLE of a transaction:

1. Sends package 2 weeks after payment
2. Does not respond to ANY e-mails
3. Has wrong contact information on file with eBay
4. Files NPBA even though he got payment and mails card

I, for one, will NEVER buy anything from Broydeur again... I suggest you don't either (at least on eBay). This is completely unacceptable standards for any eBay seller... let alone one with all high-end pieces. Please take my situation as a learning experience for all buyers (and sellers) out there.

Guess I will go cancel my Paypal complaint now.

I would like to leave a Neutral feedback on eBay for this transaction... even if that means getting one in return. What would you put as the feedback description?
