Hi everyone, I've been putting a lot of work into my Weebly site, but lately it's been acting a bit weird. Earlier this week I went onto one of my older pages and one of the images on the page wasn't even from the same series anymore. Going back to my image folder and reinserting the correct image didn't work until I rescanned the card and put a new image in the folder. Today I've spent 1/2 hour fighting with this page

https://uhtredtheviking.weebly.com/premier.html

and as you can see I lost the battle. :| All of the images should be different, ( & were before I hit the publish button), but when I hit the publish button there are now 3 images in the 2015-16 section showing the same card. I tried clicking on the image and "editing" it, (sometimes that works) but it didn't fix the problem. I haven't contacted Weebly support yet as this is fairly recent, and there is a work around (I think) if I rescan the card and put a new image in my computer folder. Obviously I'm hoping there is a better solution. Thanks in advance for any information you can provide.

Some additional info: I was also putting the scans into the SCF Inventory Manager at the same time, and they all worked fine on SCF.

Hey there, at first fantastic homepage and card collection as well. A lot of Latin:D bad memories coming up;)...as I am also using weebly for presentation of my PC cards, I can say I had also several issues in former times ( was not able to add further pages etc.)

Did you change position of some pages? That caused trouble at my webpage too...i would say contact weekly customer service as I had success with that last year...

Hopefully you can fix it but still a great page!!

Helge

Thanks for your reply Helge.

I think I will probably contact customer service, it is their platform after all, so they should know all the little quirks. :D The Premier page from the link is a new page, so I haven't moved it around at all.

I'm glad you liked my Weebly site, it is forcing me to organize my boxes of cards. (How did that card get into this box??) Happens more often than I would care to admit.

I went back into this page and fixed it up the way it is supposed to be. This time it seems to have worked and everything is ok.

Just got your PM. Glad to see everything worked out!

Welllllll, not exactly. That page seems to be holding up fine, but I just found another page that is messed up.

The Donruss scans at the top were not on that page before as you can see from the captions that I had underneath them.

I've emailed Weebly Support, so we'll see if they can figure it out. Until I hear back from them guess I'll concentrate on scanning and wait on adding new pages.

Just a short update, I have been contacted by Weebly Support, and asked to provide some screenshots and more information. I suppose it could have something to do with my computer as well (hope not), as something strange happened yesterday.

I thought I would fix some of the "error scans" on the pages and leave a few for them to investigate more fully. I have managed to fix quite a few, and the correct scans seem to be holding on. With one page I found the correct scan that I needed in my computer files, and used the "replace image" function to load up the correct scan. Imagine my surprise when the "error scan" (ie. wrong card) loaded up again! So I opened up the correct scan again with Paint and slightly cropped one side, then saved it. This time the correct scan did show up. I'm not sure what to make of that?!?! Could it have something to do with the clipboard?

There are a lot of pages to keep track of, so if you see any errors please don't hesitate to contact me so that I can fix them.

Thanks.

I do never "replace" but always delete and load up new, because of your descript issue...had some troubles in the past with this too.

Greetings Helge

Yes, sometimes it works for me, and sometimes it doesn't, so deleting and reloading is the best way to go. I have some answers from Weebly that I'll post below.

I heard back from Weebly today, so here is what I was told.

The issue is happening because images containing the same name have been uploaded to the editor. The editor then pulls the old file though you may have replaced it with a new one. Please make sure that each file you upload to our editor has a unique nomenclature and has not been used before. You may need to replace the name of all faulty images and reupload them if necessary.

Have to say that they were very quick with their reply (happened early this morning but I was out all day), and not too much fuss on my end, just had to send in some screenshots and basic information.

Great to hear that weebly customer service could help you out. Definitely great customer care , would use weebly every time again
