This was a good weekend for the old PC (both football and hockey, see the hockey boards for a sweet show and tell) so I took the occasion to break out the digital camera and play a little catch-up in the photobucket. One day I'll invest in a scanner and properly fill the bucket, but that's for another time. Three stars at the bottom, settle in for a long read. 
First off, some breaks. I got into a pack war with my shop owner & we busted a box of 2008 Score Select. I ended up winning the whole box ($35 well spent!), here are the bigger pulls (not listing most of the inserts and common RCs):
Scorecard #/100 - Brady Quinn and Jonathan Stewart
Red Zone #/30 - Patrick Willis

Gold Zone #/40 - Brett Favre and Greg Camarillo
Inscription Auto #/750 - Jordan Dizon

I also busted a box of 2008 Contenders and did quite well. Only the auto hits are pictured:
Quentin Groves, Martin Rucker and Leodis McKelvin RC Autos

Darren McFadden RC Auto! :dance:
I've busted 5 boxes of Contenders total and have had sweet hits in all of them, the McFadden looks nice next to these (not pictured Xavier Omon SP Auto Redemption):

Joe Flacco RC Auto
Matt Ryan RC Auto
Next, I busted two boxes/packs of 2008 Ultimate. Both hits will be in the Three Stars below, but I pulled an Ultimate Legends card in each. I don't know what UD was thinking, but each of these cards has a HUGE error on the front:
The Barry Sanders has "48 FB" stamped in foil on the front and the Bo Jackson has "26 CB" stamped. Last I checked, Sanders was number 20 and was never a fullback, and Bo knew a lot of things, but he didn't know cornerback (or Diddly). UD has really been dropping the ball when it comes to QA lately... 
Finally, I'll catch up a recent 2008 SPA break I did. The box was pretty much unremarkable except for this little gem:

Now for a little mail. Speaking of SPA, this redemption showed up at the shop:

Ultimate Foursome Quad Patch - Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Tony Romo and Ben Roethlisberger 7/20! :dance: :dance: :dance:
Every piece but Manning's is 2 color and not only is it Big Ben's jersey number, his patch is the end of a Reebok logo.

I know this product has gotten a bad rap, but this card is absolutely sweet in person! If Brian Brohm ever does anything in the NFL, the card will be that much better.
