Weekes signs with Rangers

He was a RFA after signing a one-year deal prior to the lockout, but now he's cemented as a Rag.

I'm going to start saving up now for the bid wars with Mike. There goes my Cedar Point vacation (ok not really)

I like Weekes (duh) but it will be exceptionally hard to root for him on a team I can't stand.

He is a really good goalie when he wants to be! Good pickup for the Rags. Also, did I correctly see that Blakcburn is a UFA???

Considering Blackburn's two-blocker experiment in the ECHL didn't work out great, I'd say his NHL days are done. Real sad story for a guy who had a lot of potential too

Hey, I think he would be worth picking up for a NHL team to play in the minors just on the chance he will regain his form. Wouldnt cost much!!

Andy, What is it that Michael Buffer says? I remember, "Let's get ready to RUMBLE!!!!!" Or more appropriately I am ready to drop the gloves. JK, Man, but I think Weekes's first Rangers card is from 05-06 BAP. He has an auto card on the UD website checklist. The rumor is that Weekes is gonna split duties between the pipes with Henrik Lundqvist, but who knows. As for Dan Blackburn, his nerve damage in the shoulder never healed, and most likely he has played his last NHL game. Tough break for a kid who never really got a chance. Mike
