Well the speculation is over Crosby books at $3500.00

There seems to be a pretty wide swing in the ebay values based on swatch quality... this is not surprising to me at all. Hopefully the guide reflects that with a large hi/lo range, or a multiplier. However, at this point, and especially for a set like this -- a multiplier is basically common sense.

Can I get a low/high on Artyukhin and Ryan Craig? Thanks!

Artyukhin $30 low and $80 high
Ryan Craig $25 low and $60 high

wowsers! i noticed that with the parise and i saw one with a 3 color with a BIN of 400 O_O. insane!! these cards are selling better than when the spa auto patches first hit the market and all indications show that they will remain hot for the immediate future..

This whole set (The Cup) will be the Holy Grail of any of the rookies featured in it. Now that the $$ spec is over, you will see prices rise - glad I got my Cup Berniers when I did...(All 6 of them, Megatron - lol)

With the variations in patch swatches available it would be impossible to put a "guide price" on any of the rookies from The Cup. I've seen unique swatches sell for 1.5-2.5x what the Early Release pricing in Beckett puts them at.

How do you think a people would do if someone ask them to trade their Crosby THE CUP rookie.I really would not want anyone to laught at me but if I thought someone would trade their Crosby,THE CUP rookie I would love to try and swing a deal.So if anyone has one that would look at possible trades for it than send me a PM.Thanks,Winston.

can I get a BV on the Toivonen?
Thanks. Beckett stinks they are never consistent with any of the RC'. Trilogy is underpriced if you look at how much it costs to purchase a pack and yet the RC's are pretty much the same as UD1 and 2.
Makes no sense...even in football. My buddy has a Cadillac Williams Ultimate or Exquisite out of 99 I think and it is less BV than his SP Authentic numbered out of 199 or 299. Besides that the packs for the Ultimate are going for $100 each while the other are usually between $5-8 each.
Crazy stuff! But its just a GUIDE;)

Wow -- pretty much dead on with what I've been monitoring on ebay. I think I only saw one card of each player sell outside that range, and it was in the high end for ridiculously nice swatches.

As much as The Cup is the hockey card's holy grail this year, can anyone explain the logistics to me? I don't care what anyone says - the nicest rookie cards this year are SPX auto jerseys and Trilogy. Why do we want the Cup Crosby rookie - because it is the most expensive. Beckett and Upper Deck - can we say the word "collusion" boys and girls? All the rookie jerseys are from a photo shoot - whoopee! With all the jerseys and emblems out there for each player, I wonder how many jerseys each player wore for the photo shoot. I have my fair share of Bernier rookies from the Cup - but the prices for him escalate every week. What drives the common rookies up in the summer time, and yet the Crosbys and Ovechkins in other products have gone down. In the end, if you are looking at 99% of the cards as an investment, you will be disappointed. If you in it as a collector, then enjoy your hobby.

fergy559 tins going fromo $300 per 4-6 cards shooting up to $700 per 4-6 card tin (yes a shop had them for $700 and actually sold them, they turned out to be very good tins actually, but crazy price). Pack price always come into play when it comes to values, The Cup moreso then any other release.

As for the commons, the reason why the sids/ao's of previous sets loosing value, well a lot of non hockey collectors are what drove the price of sid/ao all year long. now with the cup they are basically chasing down any cup rookie with nice colors. they could care less who the player is. if you have 5 psychos chasing 1 card of a no namer, expect the value to reflect this. Its not odd to see a picard with a nice patch sell for $70-100. Value's are only based on what people would pay for a specific card, look at the flashback fabrics, of course UD could be wrong but they said the sp's are only 10-20% less of a print run then the regulars. Tell the people who are paying $300+ for a trottier that..
