I have never seen a game so chippy. Pucks bouncing over sticks left and right, players banging into each other accidentally. At one point, during one shift, 4 players fell skating. It was a pretty loopy game with a lot of penalties, hartford went 1 for 10, portland 0 for 6. Shots 45 to 18
I did get to see some players I have been looking forward to seeing. Zagrapan looked decent, but I was much more impressed with Bouck. Anisimov and Moore for the pack have crazy skill. Sanguinetti has the shot we've been waiting for from the blue line. Avery was cool as a cucumber out there, and he has got some intense speed, he just keeps his legs moving at all times. He even drew 3 penalties and set up the GWG with a slick backhand pass behind his back.
Oddly enough, I think there were more fans at this game than any of the whalers games...
