West Finals: Spurs/Lakers Thread!

Yep...them's the breaks. Sometimes you get them like the Spurs did last year with the Suns getting suspended. And then sometimes you get bent over like last night.

Unless someone's sacrificing a bucket of KFC in the locker room tomorrow night, the series should end in LA and the NBA will be one step closer to their Boston/LA ratings dream come true.

Honestly...the Lakers deserved that game. Ginobili had a HORRIBLE game with a whopping four points. When Duncan leads the team in scoring they usually lose. But it's just frustrating that they still had that shot to win or tie and it was taken from them.

Yeah that's what I was about to say it's all a conspiracy to get the muchly hyped Lakers/Celtics rematch from the glory days.

I read the article about the game 4 last night and the end of it sums it up the best:

“If I was the official,” Popovich said, “I wouldn’t have called that a foul.”

Said Barry: “That shouldn’t be called in the Western Conference finals.”

Barry’s wrong. Crawford should have called it. But maybe Crawford already knew what the Spurs should have known.

On this night, just like four years ago, the Lakers were better.

Haha...only the Spurs....blew a 20 point lead in Game 1 and a 17 point lead in Game 5. Oh well, it was a fun run. 4 rings in the last 10 years is nothing to be sad about.

Can't believe both my teams made it to their Conference Finals this year. All in all, a pretty good year.

Yes nice news to come home and see the Lakers close it out tonight like I said they would! Onto the Celtics and another ring for the Lakers!

Lakers are like the Yankees, their cockyness and their fans makes me dislike them lol. I think even if Jordan got traded to the Lakers I would have still disliked them. Could be a star studded final this year instead of the usual team oriented teams. Can't go wrong with a Kobe - KG showdown (if the Celtics get in). Should be a good finals, nice to see Gasol finally get the respect he deserves.

Speaking of Gasol, how disgusting was it seeing Jerry West do the trophy ceremony. That trade for Gasol will go down as one of the most one-sided, hand shake behind the back deals in NBA history. Only fitting that Jerry was there to give the trophy to the Lakers after helping his old team. How Memphis can be happy with him is beyond me.

Best trade made in the last 8 years for sure, but yeah I get your point Chris, I think Kobe will get his other ring as did Shaq with Miami 3 years ago, but i would really love to see KG finally get his ring he deserves!!!
