West Finals: Spurs/Lakers Thread!

Losing by 4 on the road after leading most of the game is not all that bad in game 1. That should motivate the Spurs and the Lakers should also be excited that they managed to battle back and get back in the game.

As I mentioned before if Kobe tries to do it by himself then the Lakers are done. He tried this in the first half and look waht happened. When he went back to the triangle they came back and won. I liked Phil Jacksons comment on Kobe "He looked more like he was in the bermuda triangle then our Triangle". He then comment on how they got it back together when Kobe got back to the teams game plan. Kobe always had problems letting anyone else help him. In his mind he has to be the best player, he hates for anyone else to get any praise or spotlight. There is no way that Kobe will let Gasol look better then him.

How about now by getting blown out by 30? A sad day for the Spurs indeed, they will NOT be able to come down from 0-2 AGAIN! They are tired and done for!

I don't think the Lakers played their best game

But they may have last night, at least so far in the playoffs.

I still don't think Kobe has played his best game yet.

And I wouldn't say the Spurs truly lost by 30, even though it said that on the scoreboard because they emptied their bench.

But when the starters went out it is like 24 or 26 so I'll split and call it losing by 25 with Duncan and the crew on the floor.:)

Rather have the mavs be knocked off in the first round when their ranked 7 than have my team knocked out so close to the west finals!!

Ginobli is really showing up right now, but then again we know that a 20 point let alone a 10 point lead by halftime doesn't mean anything in this series, but so far so good for the Spurs!

Nice win at home by the SPURS, however not an impressive one, even though they won by 20, it was overshadowed by kobe sitting out for minutes that cost the Lakers.

Wow...even when they blow out the Lakers, and give them their worst loss this postseason, you still can't give 'em props ;)

Man, this thread is bi-polar.:dizzy:

Spurs played just like I thought they would down 0-2 and in their barn.

The next game could decide where this series goes.

Good stuff so far, one big win for each team.

If the Spurs don't win tonight, it's over. Goin' back to LA down 3-1 is something no team could come back from.

Here's hoping Horry has one of his classic buzzer beaters to win the game tonight to send the series back to LA all square.

Well, that's a fairly obvious statement.....LOL

BTW, Horry only does that buzzer beater stuff for LA, not against.;)

Although DFish does some of that against the Spurs.

Or maybe this was one of your fellow fans vantage point on it?

NO MORE PATTERN!

Lakers win by two points in the end, Spurs couldn't hit their big shots in the last five minutes of the 4th quarter, Lakers go up 3-1!!!

Little stat for ya'll: 95 percent of teams up 3-1 have gone on to win series!

I only have three things to say...

1. That shot by Fisher hit the rim. Lakers should've had a full shot clock with 6 seconds left.

2. How is it not a foul when Fisher bites on the fake and basically sits on Brent Barry's head when he goes for the game winner? Then I remembered number 3...

3. What in the name of Zeus' butthole is Joey Crawford doing calling a Spurs playoff game after he was suspended from the league for the entire season last year for wrongfully kicking Duncan out of a Spurs/Mavericks game last year.
