My son got married on September 23rd so off to Edmonton we go. The weather was perfect, nice blue skies and +26 outside. Gained a great daughter-in-law. We have not seen the happy coulpe for almost a year so it was nothing but good times. Lots of relatives from across Canada, so lots of great stories and a ton of laughs.
You can not go to Edmonton without two major stops. First up, Wests and I got a pack of Dominion and some supplies. Excellent hit in the pack as I got a Taylor Hall All Star Game Auto Patch card # 07-15 the pack had some other nice hits and when I get some time I will scan them to show you.
From Wests we headed over to Waynes and I got one more pack of Dominion and a pack of UD Ultimate. This pack of Dominion had an ever greater hit as it gave me a Jeff Skinner Auto Rookie Patch, solid three colour #94/99 and some other cool cards to boot. Ultimate gave me a Kopitar/Doughty duo quad patch #02/25, very cool looking card.
While we were in Edmonton I wanted to get a new digital slr and I have been doing some research for quite some time and if I buy it in Alberta I only have to pay one tax, so I jumped at the chance and bought a new Nikon 7000 and picked up two lenses to go with it.
When I have the time I wil post some scans of my hits. Edmonton was a blast and the happy couple are off to Europe for a month with stops in Germany, France and England.

Hopefully there are a few grandkiddies in there for you. I am learning that Grandparents love to watch my kids. Mainly so they can sugar them up before they come home. I think its some kind of sick revenge thing.
