What am I missing?

I've gotten almost 20 artifacts rookie redemptions in the mail from upper deck over the last week and a half. I have paid special attention to the redemption cards matching the upper deck labels on the envelope and top loaders to make sure i'm getting what I'm supposed to and also to know what i should still be expecting.
Today i received a package that confuses me:

I redeemed Artifacts Red Wings Redemption #RED290 code #****8UPB

Today I received an envelope with a label that matches #****8UPB so I assume it's going to be a red wing rookie

inside the envelope i find card #290 Patrick Berglund /999 St. Louis Blues???

Did UD announce that RED290 wasn't going to be a Red Wing? Did I miss the announcement?

I assume everyone is getting this same player?

Pretty sure Red Wings didn't have a rookie when those cards were built so they gave it to Blues (Berglund) as they had like 5 rookies.

Yeah, Red Wings had no rookies so they made it a wild card. Which became Berglund. I got the same one. Hope that helps.
